When we arrived i discovered that our bathroom wasn't en-suite! "private bathroom" means across the landing which you have a key to. So be careful when booking. The room was clean/ nice decor. We left the "please service our room" on our door handle...but it wasn't done. We got back from a trip late after 10pm and had to use damp cold towels....not great and tea cups still dirty etc. The cooked breakfast was lovely and tasty but there was only cereal 1st .....no pastries/fruit yoghurts etc. Which really is to be expected nowadays.

A nice Guest House by the Coast A lovely and welcoming Guest House. A comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities, and an excellent breakfast. No problems parking on the road outside the property. 2 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes walk into town

There was no clear way to easily communicate with host. Thankfully he reached out to us when we didn’t arrive at check-out time. He was gracious, but we had no number to inform him that we would be late. I won’t be using Expedia/VRBO, or whatever it’s called again. The platform is not nearly as good as Airbnb.

Located near the sea front with free street parking with a supplied visa , and a great breakfast in the morning. Only downside is the awful weather.

The Burnside is a welcoming guest house with very clean, well appointment rooms. The host, Paul, is friendly and accommodating, and it was a pleasure to chat with him. My room had a separate bathroom right next door on the top floor, which wasn't a problem. The shower is excellent. The family room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I stayed for two nights and chose to have breakfast. The available selection was good and cooked breakfast was very tasty. The location of the guest house is ideal for being close to town and the beach. There is permit parking outside, and I was given a free permit for the duration of my stay. I would certainly recommend this property for your stay in Ayr.

I had a great stay at this hotel. It looked nice and cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The location is a big plus—just a short walk to both the city center and the beach, making it super convenient whether you’re looking to explore or relax. Overall, it’s a good place to stay if you want comfort and a great location.

One night stay at the Burnside B&B Easy check In and received text inquiring about time I would be arriving.very small room but bright and had everything required I slept well ..My only complaint was the tiny travel electric kettle had such a short lead on it It had to be unplugged every time to pour the water and it was right beside the curtains and it was a stretch to even plug it in…a kettle that you lift out would be a much more safe option
