Very comfortable and warm on a cold day.
Plug for hairdryer in bathroom would be very useful.
Will stay again.

Nice pub, good coffee & lovely garden. I arrived a bit muddy on my bike searching for toast which wasn’t on the menu on its own but the friendly staff soon sorted that for me. Nice sourdough & marmalade. I sat outside as it was so mild but inside looked lovely too

One night stay in a very clean and comfortable room with a large bathroom in a building across the road from the pub. There is a varied choice of food in the restaurant which is tasty and the breakfast quality was also excellent. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Parking is on the street.

Cancelled stay just over two weeks before visit due to overbooking, was a couple of weeks after booking so assume they got a better offer. Pretty poor really to do this with little notice, we have two young kids and arranging a night away is not that easy. They offered to rebook but why would we do that with a place that had let us down already with hardly an apology?

We had a mid week stay at the Pointer at Brill. The rooms were lovely with excellent on suite and tea and coffee making facilities. Fresh milk was available from a fridge in the hall way. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel dining room both were excellent as was the service.

We have stayed in over 15 hotels in the past year or so but this is the only time I have felt I disappointed enough to write a review. We stayed in an ‘executive room’. The room needs updating. Pillows are yellow underneath the case. Paintwork needs touching up. The shower head was so full of limescale that water was trying to escape elsewhere. The worst thing though was that the room was so hot. The underfloor heating in the huge bathroom was turned up high and would not turn down with a thermostat in the room. We had to sleep with three windows open which is not ideal or safe when you are at street level. Another guest came to our door to complain that their room was also very hot. Evening meal at the pub was ‘ok’. At breakfast the food was served on hot plates but the food was actually cold. The pub staff were very welcoming though so can’t complain about that. Location was wonderful in a very picturesque village.

Superb in every way from the warm welcome to the fabulous executive rooms with slipper baths and the evening meal at night, followed by a good breakfast in the morning. We booked three rooms for 6 people and all had a marvellous time. Lots of parking outside and the village itself is wonderful. Added to all this, the pub/hotel is dog friendly and there are many lovely walks to be had in each direction. Highly recommended and extremely good value for money.
