Atlantica Bay - Adults Only

We have recently returned from a week all inclusive at the Atlantica Bay hotel in late October 2024. LOBBY BAR/ LOBBY TERRACE The lobby is beautifully decorated and is open plan, it is a very welcoming area with lots of comfortable seating. The lobby terrace is where a majority of the entertainment is held. The view overlooking the sea and the pool is beautiful and there is plenty of seating outside. POOL The hotel has two pools and the pool area is well maintained and clean. We only used the pool once as it was freezing due to it being October! There were a lot of sun loungers and most were empty (again as we were there in October this may not be a true reflection during the summer months). There are also comfortable seating areas around the pool for those who do not wish to use sun loungers. CATS There are a number of stray cats roaming around the hotel outside areas. They are looked after by the hotel staff and the cats don’t tend to bother you unless you fuss them. STAFF It is clear all of the staff at the hotel work very hard. A special mention to Agnes who worked in the lobby bar/lobby terrace she made our experience at the Atlantica Bay even more enjoyable! ROOM/CLEANLINESS We had a partial sea view room and it was very well presented and clean. The decor was neutral and light and airy. The room was cleaned daily, towels were replaced regularly and the mini bar was stocked daily. Apples and a bottle of red wine were also in the room on arrival which was a nice touch as we arrived late at night. The hotel is very well kept and clean. The staff in the dining room are very efficient and remove used plates very quickly (sometimes too quickly as on one occasion my husband hadn’t quite finished his dinner! 🤣). ACTIVITIES/ENTERTAINMENT The TUI blue team led by Ged work very hard to provide entertainment for guests. There are plenty of activities throughout the day such as aqua dance, pool games, souvenir making. In the evening there were singers, a Blue brother’s tribute act (who were great) and also a silent disco. We did enjoy the evening entertainment but it could get a bit repetitive. FOOD/DRINK The choice of drinks included in the All inclusive were good. My husband and I had no issue finding drinks to try. The red wine was quite disappointing (and I am partial to a red wine) but the rosé was a nice alternative. The drinks list had lots of choice and then there were others you could pay for which had a discount for All inclusive guests. The food was good and there was a wide variety of items to choose from, as a vegetarian I had no issues finding foods to try. All the of the food was clearly labelled to show allergen/dietary information. One thing about the restaurant that we didn’t enjoy that much is that the tables in places are quite close together and in even quiet times the staff would seat you close to another table. Towards the end of our holiday we would ask to sit on a different table, but this is personal preference an

Lovely place to stay at, a bit overpriced but overall we had a wonderful experience. Lost a few points on the several delays we had. Both from room service and team. The main manager gifted us a lovely bouquet though and made us feel warm. The manager at Locatelli, Mario, his team, and Chief gave us the best experience ever!!! We have returned several times to eat there and they took care of us every single time. Preparing amazing vegan/vegetarian food and Apu, our waiter, ensured that everything was amazing. The spa facilities are unique, we enjoyed all areas and the salt pool but the massage was so-so, for the price we payed. The breakfast area was very loud, waiters were arguing and it was very noisy. The constant music blasting everywhere was also not aligned with the serenity that this place aims to create. We were on the top floors and we could still hear the pool music until late hours. We will return back to Locatelli for sure. As far as staying there..we might give it another try.

Just recently back from a weeks stay with family. Very nice grounds and while the beach area is not huge or has much sand, the sea was very clear, calm and clean (blue flag rated) the calm waves made swimming really enjoyable and relaxing , lovely pool areas too and the separate divide of pools and beach areas for children and adults is good and for those who understandably may not want to be around noisy children ! Very good kids club with daily activities and staff who interact and get involved, Tiffany , Stephanie and Theodora were amazing with my daughter , thank you !! children at the club even got a little gift bag with toys ! If you can, I would advise room with balcony, we asked for this as the rooms facing the main road were slightly noisy and not very pleasant views looking out onto a busy main road. Nice path along the resort for people to walk along , we did this to visit other restaurants at other hotels along the beach , to your left you can also walk to ruins and another beach ( unfortunately we did not get the time to do this, really wish we did now from what others have said), also approx. 15 mins car/taxi journey to the main town/marina, well worth a a visit, if also like us you like to get out of the resort too. Overall really nice hotel with friendly staff and facilities, only one slight disappointment was sometimes we felt a little rushed to eat our breakfast as we like to go down later / towards the end and a few times we were told we had to finish up as are preparing for lunch soon (whereas previous 5* hotels we stayed at this has never been the case and never felt rushed to finish up), also a member of staff told us we were not allowed to bring food up with us to the room, despite us trying to explain my husband was in his room, he still proceeded to tell us not to do this , I responded and made it quite clear we were not happy about that I felt he needed some training in customer service, he eventually backed off ( was like being told off), as a previous member of staff offered to take it to our rooms..as would be expected in a 5 start hotel. Concierge and baggage handlers very nice and helpful , especially Michael (i think his name), who has worked their for 35 years ! really chatty and helpful guy ,!
