One star The hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly. According to the hotel information and what the staff explained, room cleaning is supposed to happen five times a week, with bed linens and towels changed twice a week. However, during my two-week stay, the linens were changed four times, and each time there were stains of blood or other dirt on them, which was disgusting and completely unacceptable. Out of the five promised cleaning days each week, the floor was supposed to be mopped , trash removed, and the toilet, sink, and shower cleaned. Surfaces were also meant to be wiped. But in reality, the bathroom was only cleaned once a week, the floor was mopped only two or three times, and trash was not emptied on three occasions. I reported this to the hotel front desk, and they promised that the cleaning service would be properly done during the last three days of my stay. We had 3 days cleaning but not properly! On the whole the cleanliness level of Pavlinia hotel is low. For three consecutive nights, the rooms next to mine were extremely noisy during the night. People were banging on the walls with fists and feet. After three nights, I informed the front desk, and the problem was resolved after they intervened. Also, the body wash and hand soap ran out on different days, and I had to notify hotel management to refill them. The problem is that i needed frequently remind hotel staff to take care of their jobs. A hotel manager should take care of their business and pay attention to such important issues. I came on holiday to relax — not to remind others how to do their job or to make complaints. This is the first time I’ve ever criticized a hotel, but it’s just not right to pay for a two-week stay and receive such poor service.
