Thalassines Villas

This is not a safe place. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to warn people and frankly I am more than a little ticked off as well. Don’t let the gate and the cameras fool you as they did us. We were robbed in the middle of the night while we were sleeping peacefully a few meters away. Someone walked in through a patio door that my 11-year old nephew forgot to lock. They stole two purses and a wallet, took all the cash out and, as we found out later, tossed the rest behind the villa. I can’t even describe the panic we all had at 4am on a Sunday morning thinking all of our travel documents, cash and credit cards were gone and googling how to get emergency travel documents. My friend literally had to let the Bolt car she had waiting outside to take her to the airport go as she had no documents or money and almost ended up missing her flight. I immediately called the reception and a couple of staff members showed up and told us they had found the purses (minus all of our cash) tossed behind the building. Over the following day, management made it sound like we were asking to be robbed because we forgot to lock the patio door. They didn’t offer any relief at all. All of this happened on our last night within a two-hour window between us going to bed and the first person waking up to get ready for her flight. The person clearly knew our routine. The purses were also tossed in what seems to be a blind spot for the two outside cameras. All quite coincidental I was told. The person knew our routine, knew the property really well, knew when we were leaving and would likely be just relieved to have our documents and cards back and write the cash off…all the while I kept being told that some random person just got lucky and stumbled upon our closed unlocked pool door out of 11 almost identical villas and then waltzed right out of the community. Mind you this is not in town. You need a ride. I asked numerous times to see the camera footage and was refused. Two plain clothes police officers came and took our statements. All very quietly. Don’t even know where their car was but clearly they didn’t want to alarm the rest of the visitors. I still don’t have a copy of a police report or camera footage. Not that it will be of any use. Just super frustrating. The least ownership could’ve done was be apologetic and comp us our stay or part of it but they were completely unhelpful. Sent me a bunch of form polite responses saying that they cooperated with the police and the rest was our fault so too bad basically. If you want to sleep peacefully and have unproblematic vacation, I’d think twice about staying here.

We stayed at Thalassines Villas as part of our wedding booking in August 2024. We'd spent a long time trying to find places where you could get married on a private beach and it also be a legal marriage for the UK, and Thalassines Villas in Cyprus looked like the perfect location. We booked though their Secluded Weddings and from start to finish Elena was amazing at organising everything for us. We felt a little nervous booking to get married abroad at a destination we'd never visited but honestly, we couldn't have asked for a better location for us, it was perfect. We only had a small wedding, a group of 20 of us in total, and everything was just how we wanted it. The arch that we got married in front of was to the left of the resort and then it was only a tiny walk across to the reception area where we had a U-shaped table set up facing the sea which was lovely. We had a beach BBQ for the reception and the food was plentiful and delicious, and served to us really efficiently. After the food we danced the night away and loved how the setting was enhanced with fairy lights, it really made it feel magical. As part of the wedding package, we were also assigned a photographer called Alena who was brilliant. Her and her husband Kyriacos who did the videography were both super friendly and really eager to get the best photos and videos they could get for us. They had both done weddings at Thalassines multiple times so knew where to get the best shots. The villas themselves are brilliant. So spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you need. Ours had a rooftop terrace which we loved. Our own private pool was also amazing. The onsite small bar and shop have a selection of essentials and the staff are always friendly and eager to help including delivering food orders to the villa. Overall our stay at Thalassines Villas and our wedding was amazing. Elena really did everything she could to make our wedding day so special and our stay so perfect, but also incredibly relaxed. We'd highly recommend them as a wedding venue and a lovely place to stay. Thank you Thalassines and Elena for making our wedding day memories the most special that we have. We couldn’t have asked for more and we can’t wait to revisit in the future and relive it all!

We have just returned from Thalassines Villa after they hosted our wedding on 4th April 2024. Words can't even describe how grateful we are!!! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty, from the minute we saw it I had tears in my eyes. The staff were exceptional they did everything they could to ensure our wedding and holiday was perfect. Elena and the whole team ensured our wedding day went smoothly. The venue is absolutely beautiful, getting married on a private beach was our dream and it exceeded our expectations. The food on the wedding day was amazing!!! All our guests were blown away with the quality and quantity, that tasted delicious. The Villas were clean, and had everything we needed with a beautiful roof top bath. Having food delivered to our villa daily from the beach bar was a massive bonus, the value for money is good and selection was good. Thank you again Elena, you are a very special person that makes dreams come true!!!!

Our wedding at Thalassines was perfect. We had a small, intimate wedding with 10 guests - the venue is ideal for a relaxed and scenic day. I had been speaking to Louise monthly for over a year prior to our wedding day and can safely say anything I needed to know, any advice or queries, were replied to within 24 hours. Once we arrived, Louise was so welcoming and made sure we were at ease, taking care of any and all requests we had. On the day she ensured we were relaxed, chilled out and both herself and the team at Thalassines made sure it was a beautiful day. The beach is naturally stunning, and our bbq mezze after was delicious. The best moussaka we’ve ever had! Our wedding cake was perfect too. We opted against having a DJ on the night and instead wanted to play our own playlist, Louise made sure a speaker was available asap. Along with the wedding day, during our stay we were treated with such love and care by the entire team. Thoughtful touches were added - like a couple of drinks while we sorted paperwork, to a bottle and fresh pastries brought to us the morning after the wedding. The villas are also lovely - we stayed for four nights in total. They are beautifully simple in style which we loved, incredibly spacious, with good sized rooms and bathrooms. The pool and outdoor areas were perfect for our families to socialise in before and after the wedding. Louise and Elena are the dream team! Christina is lovely and welcoming. We felt so loved and like we were the only ones there for the duration of our stay. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Thalassines and Secluded Weddings. The day and our stay surpassed any expectations we had. It truly felt like a home away from home and we will be back! X

Well where do I start, we got married here 10th August and it was the most amazing day, from the moment we arrived it was just perfect 👌🏻. Louise, Elena & the whole team where AMAZING, nothing was too much trouble and you where made to feel very special, We had the roof top terrace villa which blew us away, our 2 girls said it was the best holiday they had ever been on, the villa was very clean, fresh towels every day, everything that you need for your stay was in the Villa, the food at the bar was lovely and very reasonably priced, our girls say you can’t beat Louise’s mozzarella sticks and we totally agree, the freshly baked pastries where the best I have ever tasted! Our actual wedding day was perfect from start to finish, the staff where amazing again a huge shout out to Louise & Elena, the setting is just out of this world, we wanted a private wedding with friends and family on a paradise beach and that’s exactly what we had, the food in on the wedding day was again AMAZING it was a Cyprus Meze style bbq and believe me it was delicious all of our guests where very impressed, So if your looking for a paradise stay with 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ service this is 100% the place to stay or get married, you won’t be disappointed, Thalassines will always have a special place in our hearts-thank you again Louise & Elena Love Always Matty, Alana & Girls xxx
