Amethyst Napa Hotel & Spa

Our recent stay at the Amethyst Hotel was absolutely delightful. Honestly, the name should be upgraded to "Diamond," given its stunning design and brilliant service. We stayed for four nights at the beginning of November, just before the hotel closed for winter. Though it was quiet with only a few guests, the service and food were outstanding right until the very last day. The staff truly deserve praise—they were polite, friendly, and incredibly helpful, going above and beyond, even printing our boarding passes for us. We stayed in a family suite, which was incredible. The spacious bathroom was a highlight, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, sparkling, and elegantly decorated. Unlike the more modest, traditional white-and-blue bungalows common in Cyprus, the Amethyst exudes a more luxurious and modern vibe. I also adored the real amethyst on display at reception—such a unique and charming touch! The restaurant, while not large, features a spacious terrace, and with fewer guests during our stay, there was always plenty of room. Although the weather was too cold for swimming, the pool area and sunbeds looked inviting. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Ayia Napa, but it’s well-connected with buses running every 15 minutes to the center and beyond. The nearest beach is just a 10-minute walk away, making it a convenient spot. Entertainment was available until the end of October, but there were no activities during our last three nights. This was understandable since the hotel was preparing to close for the season. The entertainment in October, however, was really good and added a lot to the experience. The only one disappointing point is absence of tennis court. Lastly, the value for money was excellent, especially during the off-season. I imagine it might be more expensive and busier in summer, given the smaller property size, but for October, it was perfect. I completely fell in love with this hotel and will definitely return! Highly recommended for a peaceful and luxurious stay.

Good points- Very clean hotel throughout Peaceful and quiet Clean pool Good WiFi Some staff are very good Bad/Average points- Sun loungers reserved from very early and not used. Could do with designated smoking areas away from food. Not really all inclusive some stupid restrictions. Should provide pool towels ideally. More ability to get water including in the fridge in room. Poolside gets extremely slippery. €15 a week for room safe. Not offered 2nd drink at mealtimes Food is average, better off in the kings sword across the road. Lunchtime order taker at pool snack bar needs telling about his behaviour towards women.

Just returned from a week at the Amethyst hotel. We got a last minute good deal and wow was it worth it. It was our first visit to Ayia Napa. I honestly could not fault the hotel or staff in any way! . Food was plentiful and fresh, breakfast omelette’s were freshly cooked to order. There was always a roast of meat each evening and Every evening had a different food theme night. Hotel was clean and tidy, towels replaced, beds made and room cleaned every day. Pool area is stunning with plenty of sun beds. It’s around 3km into the centre of Aiya Napa, where you will find plenty of beautiful restaurants/bars and shops, the 101 bus stops 100m down the road and takes you there in around 6 stops. The 102 brings you back. 1.50 euros each way. There are also few restaurants/bars, cafes, shops near the hotel. I saw signs for 4 beaches while on the bus, we only visited the one which was 5 mins walk from the hotel. A 10 minute walk to the left of the hotel takes you to the water park. This hotel is a must for people seeking a quiet, relaxing break in the sun. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Amethyst for a perfect stay

Visited Cyprus for the first time and what a fantastic holiday we had at an amazing hotel. The staff were great and the hotel was clean and bed linen changed daily. There was a good variety of food and the snack bar food was excellent too. This isn't a massive hotel which was nice but the kids had a brilliant time and didn't want to leave. Shout out to Coco the Loco who kept he kids entertained. Would definitely recommend the mermaid bost trip to blue lagoon it was great. We will definitely go to this hotel again and would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice relaxing holiday.

The hotel itself is marvellous but our experience was spoilt when Dorothy Cox and her Irish entourage turned up creating havoc towels on Sun beds that were never used loud blaring music no consideration for anyone else .I will make sure when booking again not to go when she is there !!!

This was our 3rd time for Myself and husband and the first two times were 💯 excellent! However on our return this year we were shocked at all the changes, by 7am every sunbed around the pool had a towel on! The pool was like a bath! The food was terrible with the option of Rabbit! And was bearly any choices which was repetitive! The drinks were really poor! I was verbally abused by another guest who also threatened me (apparently she had been moaning about other guests before we arrived) the hotel did NOTHING! However the usual staff were their lovely self's the weekends the hotel is full of locals with groups of 10+ who completely took over the pool and the limited sunbeds! The entertainment was pathetic so we wouldn't recommend this hotel and will definitely be taking our money elsewhere!
