A wonderful location, high up in the Pyrenees but accessible to good main roads. We went to sample the food and take in the wonderful scenery. The hotel is modern with all amenities. The restaurant is small but perfectly adequate. The food was sublime, Lovely quant village to walk around. The mountains are accessible for more challenging walks.

Probably the best location of our road trip this hotel is situated in the French Pyrenes, surrounded by breath-taking scenery with snow capped mountains visible even in June. Great for walkers (if fit) , with lots of arduous looking trails heading upwards starting at the village . The room was good , comfortable if little clinical and bland .A meal was provided in the evening which was very enjoyable, and the restaurant was full of locals . The only downsides for us was that although the village was beautiful it was deserted . There are no facilities at all there , not even a bar, so the Hotel itself is the centre of the village which is dead . Although there are fly screens on the windows the fly problem was huge to the extent that we had to ask for spray from the staff as the flies had defeated the screens. Not the fault of the hotel as the area is agricultural and animals are everywhere but be aware .We also found it strange that outside our room was an empty functioning refrigerator completely unstocked and there were no T making facilities in the room , so considering the hotel opens at noon and then closes (and locks up) for at least 6 hours , with nothing in the village , you are left with no refreshment options .
