We had a WONDERFUL stay in Hybla Major B&B - we arrived in the middle of a rare cyclone, and Gabriele and her son were our SAVIOURS. When all the restaurants were closed, Gabriele cooked us a delicious pasta made with organic tomatoes by her mother, complete with fresh homemade potato bread and fruit for dessert. The breakfasts here were the best we've had in all of Sicily; several varieties of freshly baked homemade cakes and sweets on the buffet table, plus homemade organic antipasti (e.g: homegrown courgettes and mint, peperoncino, fresh tomatoes, locally grown olives) and delicious freshly made organic bread. The home-made creamy yoghurt, candied orange peel and mandarin jam were also a highlight, alongside a caffé macchiato! Gabriele's son also speaks excellent English and kindly helped us out with bus/train times. He is also a talented photographer and his photos of the local area adorn the walls, which is a nice touch. Gabriele speaks Spanish which was also useful (as I don't have any Italian!) She gave us a brilliant food recommendation - Mammarancina around the corner - which was much appreciated; €3.50 for a slice of the best porcetta pizza slice you will ever taste and just €3/3.50 for beautifully flavoured arancini and lovely wait staff. The room was spotless, shower hot, heating good (necessary for February) and the location couldn't have been better. The B&B is 1 minute walk from two supermarkets, and a minute's walk to various bars and restaurants of excellent quality. It is also just a few minutes walk from the main square Piazza Trieste. Avola is great if you want to travel to Siracusa/Ortigia or Noto for a day trip, too. Sadly we didn't get to see much of the town itself (or visit the almond museum) due to the storm, but what we did see looked beautiful. Thank you, Hybla Major! We will be telling ALL our friends to stay here - and we will remember the incredible breakfasts for a long time to come, too! We decided against staying in an Airbnb and I'm so glad we did! Dopo una giornata presso la meravigliosa riserva di Cavagrante, ci siamo recati al B&B e siamo stati piacevolmente colpiti: le stanze grandi, nuove, pulite, il personale che ci ha accolto (la Sig.ra Antonella) è stato gentilissimo e professionale. La colazione buonissima. Tutto cucinato dalla casa, con prodotti tipici siciliani. Attenti alle intolleranze, con prodotti senza lattosio e senza glutine. Buonissimo in particolare il cornetto con la ricotta fresca, il salame di cioccolato senza glutine, le marmellate e lo yogurt. Ritornerò sicuramente perché Avola permette di raggiungere comodamente altre mete come la riserva di Vendicari, Marzamemi etc.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo b&b con un'esperienza meravigliosa. Posto economico e staff gentilissimo e simpatico, disponibile per qualsiasi necessità. Colazione squisita con prodotti fatti in casa anche pronti per allergie come celiachia e intolleranza al lattosio. Stanze moderne e pulite, con bagni grandi e comodi e vari gadget carini. Comodo anche per raggiungere pizzerie, bar e attrazioni come le piscine di Cavagrande del Cassibile.

Ospitalità, cortesia, gentilezza, familiarità, di tutto lo Staff. La colazione; varietà , squisitezze , Dolci e Salate , un inizio di giornata favoloso. E poi i BISCOTTI AL SESAMO . UN RIGRAZIAMENTO ALLA SIG ANTONELLA . La pulizia eccezionale. Cosa dire ancora, sicuramente tornare ad AVOLA , sarà un piacere soggiornare di nuovo a HYBLA MAYOR.

Sono tornata la scorsa settimana dopo aver soggiornato per otto giorni in questa struttura. Mi sono trovata benissimo, il proprietario Gabriele sempre gentile e dispnibile a darci indicazioni sulle spiagge e posti da visitare. Struttura nuova, curata, massima pulizia e colazione davvero ottima con le torte e le marmellate fatte dalla mamma di Gabriele. Grazie di tutto, ci torneremo. Un caro saluto a tutti.

Il b&b è nuovo, di nuova ristrutturazione. È possibile parcheggiare gratuitamente davanti alla struttura. Si trova in una posizione strategica; da qui infatti si possono raggiungere le principali città della costa sud orientale: 10 minuti da Noto, 30 minuti da Marzamemi, 30 minuti da Ortigia e vicina alla riserva naturale. Inoltre, il centro di Avola è raggiungibile a piedi. Camera ampia e nuova, pulizia impeccabile. La colazione è speciale: marmellate, torte e pane tutto fatto in casa (da provare assolutamente la marmellata di mandarini). Che dire, non c’è stata una nota storta nel nostro soggiorno. 5 stelle meritate tutte!

accoglienza amichevole ma discreta, abbiamo ricevuto tutte le attenzioni che si possono desiderare in vacanza. Servizi e pulizia impeccabili, posizione strategica ed ogni tipo di indicazione e suggerimento necessario per trascorrere al meglio il soggiorno. Una menzione con lode per le colazioni al mattino, semplicemente stupende. Antonella e Gabriele ci hanno servito cibi ricchi e gustosi e con materie e prodotti genuini. STRACONSIGLIATO
