Avila Hotels with Gym

The atrium is nice, the hotel room is small but very comfortable. The location is excellent, just across from the cathedral and there are three excellent restaurants around. The hotel’s breakfast was not eaten because there are better options nearby.

We parked couple if blocks away in a nice underground parking garage I structure. It's a short walk for these sixty-year-olds, however, it's mostly uphill and cobblestones. The hotel, once the Bishop’s estate next to the cathedral at the center of town, could not be in a better location. The rooms and bathrooms are a generous size, with furniture from the sixties, painted white. If you are looking for an authentic experience and the simple, yet generous accommodations acceptable, it's perfect for the price. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel again. We had breakfast in the dining room one morning. It's pretty basic breakfast fare.

The hotel is outside of the city and not near to the historical center. Room was big and clean. Receptions staff was not friendly, however far of being rude. The breakfast options is a little limited for a 4 stars hotel, but food has quality. Free car parking in the street was possible and easy. In a nutshell: If you go by car, it can be a good option to Avila, otherwise I don't recommend. A 4 stars hotel, but not on a higger level.

Fantastic stay in this hotel. We used it as a base to visit Salamanca and Segovia, as well as Avila itself. The hotel is situated just within the city walls and is an oasis of calm. The room was superb, the staff lovely, and the food was excellent. It has private parking too. Can't recommend it enough.

The opportunity to book the Castle Hotel is very rare. The experience of finding a way out in the hotel's maze of walks is very interesting. There are marks left by the years everywhere. We are very satisfied with the first stop in Spain. The waiter cleaned the room without knocking on the door first, and pushed the door directly and came in.

We are in room 510, Double Room with Terrace. We booked this room so we could have the doors open for fresh air at night. This room may be on the 5th floor but next door is the hotels aircon units. The fan is very noisey, turns on and off every few minutes, sounds like a car engin. Do not take any notice of their description, you will not get any sleep. The room is very hot, 25°C . We turned the aircon on only to find out the hotel has now changed it to heat only. Room heating was up to 26.5°C before we found out. Had to have the patio doors open all night. There are no restaurants in or near the hotel. The hotel has a cafe but that closes after lunch and reopens at 7pm. Rooms do not have kettle to make a drink Have to go to the tourist old town to eat expensive mediocre food. Positive. Room size good, bed comfortable if only you could sleep, bathroom shower/bath good, breakfast good, hotel clean. Parking tight but ok. Wouldn't stay again.

Great location to view the city from the main viewing point and an easy walk into the town. Good easy parking and rooms did exactly what we expected. On site cafe snack bar was very good and great helpful service. Local restaurants near by. Very nice helpful reception staff. Great value for money.
