Excellent, most enjoyable stay at the Rowan Tree Country Hotel, traditional, but sympathetically updated. Very comfortable room, spotlessly clean, great view over the hills too. lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. Warm and welcoming with log fires to relax at in cosy lounges. Meals were first class with plenty of choice on the menu. Lots to see and do in the area, something to suit all tastes.

Very friendly staff, good food, and comfortable room. Highly recommended. We planned to stay for just one night but stayed an extra night as it was such a great place to stay. We'll certainly be staying there again if we can. Thanks to all the staff.

This is a lovely independent hotel with a great restaurant and excellent attentive staff.We enjoyed our stay away from the hustle of the town , peaceful and 10 minutes stroll the loch. Go and support an independent business and not the mass multiples.

A wee gem, home from home with such a warm welcome. Special shout out to Sheenagh who always goes out of her way to make us all feel welcome. We’ve visited a few times, but this was our first break away with our dog, and Sheenagh was just lovely with her. Excellent service and food. Comfortable and clean accommodation with everything we needed. For the adventurous types, G2 Outdoor have amazing zip wire trails just down the road from the Rowan Tree.

My partner and I had a lovely stay in the Rowan Tree Hotel. We were given a nice welcome and our room was also upgraded as we had won an overnight stay there! Breakfast was all you could ask for, very well cooked with plenty options. The room was lovely, comfy bed, nice view of the loch and mountains, everything spotlessly clean. After visiting nearby Aviemore we sat in the hotel bar in front of a open log fire with a nightcap. All in all a very nice hotel

Great location, stunning views from bedroom windows. Family run hotel with lovely friendly staff, especially Sheena! I'd been ill and so wasn't well enough to walk with the rest of the party on the first day. Was really well looked after in the hotel. Super comfortable beds, delicious food in the restaurant. Great base for walking the Cairngorms.

What a lovely place, close to Aviemore but even closer to the beauty of The Cairngorms. Next to Loch Alvie, this hotel offers you the best of both worlds: delicious meals, recently refurbished rooms, an atmosphere which is familiar and professional. We enjoyed being there for Hogmanay, and stayed the first week of January. We made beautiful walks in the area, looking forward to a nice aperitif by the fire. We used to stay at Rowan's as a first stop visiting the Highlands with our family... We were very happy to come back and have more time this year.

Small hotel with lovely friendly and helpful staff. Good food, pretty location with good walks and only 2 miles distance from Aviemore where there are plenty of activities, not to mention skiing. Dogs and cats very welcome. Good clean air. Have already recommended to a friend

Beautiful hotel, very welcoming, log fires, tartan carpets,lovely Scottish decor, very clean. Bedroom, amazing,large, bright, super king-size bed and soooo comfy, great walk in shower, massive tv. Restaurant lovely setting, love fairy lights in windows and on table, 3 course meal each one amazing, waiting on staff great and chatty ,nothing rushed and 2 bottle of Shiraz to finish. Breakfast amazing, food superb, nice waitress again nothing rushed. Will definitely recommend and will be back. Thanks for lovely stay.
