Simple stylish accommodation within traditional stone cottages in the middle of this magical hilltop village. The view from the roof terrace of No 3 is panoramic - from the sea to the mountains, and amazing for stargazing. George provides lovely buffet breakfast of local produce in the adjacent breakfast room, and is an absolute mine of local knowledge and friendly guidance.

George's kindness is unsurpassed. The cottage is functional, with everything in place to make you feel at home. You'll find tourist and practical information about Chios. The breakfast is complete and delicious. You have everything you need to fully discover this fabulous island.

We were so happy to find such a special accomodation in the middle of the winter when we were looking for a really quiet spot which had also a beautiful view on the Aegean from the rooftop, with a very professional, generous and friendly host.

We stayed in Spitakia 3 which has a great roof terrace with spectacular views. The old stone cottages are sympathetically converted and are comfortable with all mod cons. The owner, George, is knowledgeable about the natural history of the area, helpful and will lead walks to places of interest. He can also provide breakfast. Avgonymna is a very attractive village a few kilometres from the west coast and some beautiful beaches. It is convenient for Chios Town and visiting other places on the island. A hire vehicle is a must as the bus service almost non-existent.

Spitakia are restored traditional stone cottages upgraded for comfortable stays, in the beautiful village of Avgonyma, Chios. The cottages have everything you need, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and clean, modern bathrooms. Breakfast is delicious, with something for everyone. George the owner is kind and generous with his knowledge of the island. In addition, Avgomyma has good restaurants and is an ideal base for seeing the island. We highly recommend Spitakia Cotteges and can't wait to return!

Oh my God !!! What a great place to stay for get aways… George is a super host. The rooms are clean and spacious. The village is very romantic and I recommend this to everyone…. My favorite place in Chios… if you like nature and want to have a quaint quality time; the address is right here…

Spitakia è diventato un punto d’incontro di amici. Intimo, raccolto, pulitissimo, è l’ideale per scoprire tutta la sorprendente isola di Chios, le sue spiagge, la sua storia, i suoi profumi. È una sistemazione perfetta per chi ama atmosfere suggestive, uniche e fuori dai luoghi comuni. Dal 2019 siamo tornati per la terza volta, l’ospitalità di George ci ha conquistati ancora una volta, la sua compagnia ci ha fatto scoprire ancora altri segreti dell’isola. Tutto perfetto!
