We visited the hotel for eight days in June. Cloe and David and her staff were really welcoming and friendly. There were 8 couples in our party from a Lotus Car Club. The parking was safe which was important too us. The gardens were lovely and tranquil, with the river running by. The rooms were large, comfortable and very clean, with baths and showers. They also have good balconies and terraces. The restaurant is very popular with the locals, which is always a good recommendation. We ate at the hotel on numerous nights and the meals were excellent.

A great place, a warm welcome, a friendly staff, the owners are very involved. Being there 2 or 3 times a year, on the way to the Provence, says it all. Sleep well, eat well, only the birds and the cascading water of the river will be heard. I can't find a better place in the Morvan.

The hotel and restaurant were both excellent. The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed and balcony overlooking the river and trees. Dinner was exceptional with a good choice of freshly prepared and home-cooked food of the highest quality; there was a wide range of wines including very good quality local wines. Breakfast offered a large selection including fresh fruit, home-made yoghurt, pastries and jams, as well as cheese, eggs and home cured ham. We would highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant for its exceptional cooking.

We spent one night at the Moulin having reserved one of their special deals. If the price was indeed reasonable, it was tiny, gave onto the Parking lot and was hot and stuffy. Our dinner, included in the price, was creative but indifferent and poorly displayed on the plates. All this is a shame because the service was very amiable and the setting charming. An increase in the price of the room might provide a more spacious room but sadly would not improve the food.

We stayed in the deluxe room with a large terrace on the river side. The rooms are nicely decorated and the bed was good. Unfortunately, there is no airconditioning so the room can get quite warm. Also there is no place to sit or play a game in the room. The dinner and breakfast was good but not spectacular, so we decided to have dinner outdoors on other nights. The hotel is very close to Avallon, but you still need the car to go there (5-10 mins) since the road is not really safe for walking or cycling. Good hotel for 1 or 2 nights, but I wouldn't recommend for longer stays.

This was truly a great stay. I loved my room - a mixture between old and new, classic and sophisticated, a bit old-fashioned and yet new. My room had a large terrace, which I also enjoyed. The food at the restaurant was excellent. It was truly something different and something exciting. I also loved the breakfast. The young family, running the property, and their staff were very dedicated and friendly. And the location is outstanding, in the middle of the Vallée du Cousin, you spend your nights and days right by the river. Love it. And our four-legged friends are also welcome :-) A big plus! Highly recommended.

Nous avons séjourné un week-end au Moulin des Ruats et nous n'avons pas été déçus. Le cadre est magnifique, très dépaysant et calme. Les chambres sont propres et décorées avec goût. La gastronomie ? TROP BONNE !! Principalement du fait maison. Le petit-déjeuner buffet est TOP, notre fils a adoré les viennoiseries maison. Les hôtes sont très accueillants. Cadre idéal pour des balades en forêt ou pour profiter d'un moment de détente au bord de l'eau. Et en prime, une superbe aire de jeux à 5 minutes à pied, avec mini-golf, balançoire, toboggans et tyrolienne... Notre fils de 3 ans était aux anges ! Merci :), nous reviendrons !

Etablissement qui ne peut, tant au niveau de l'hôtel que du restaurant, atteindre la qualité de l'image plutôt haut de gamme qu'il se donne. Une rénovation s'impose dans les chambres, petites en outre, quant au restaurant, le service et les plats sont très moyens. Grosse déception.
