Anyone planning a stay here should be very careful and keep checking their booking. In March my partner and I booked a room for May 29 only to be informed the day beforehand by the owner that there had been a double booking and ours was cancelled in favour of a family who wanted a block booking. Luckily, we were able to book a room at the Strutt Arms at Milford, Belper, which I strongly recommend.

We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with all the family. This was the perfect place for 20 of us with ages ranging from 70 down to 2 years old. Living areas, Kitchens and bedrooms were all well equipped. The only issue we had was the lack of laundry facilities which would have been good to have after hiking in wet and muddy areas.

What a beautiful stunning place!! 12 of us for my daughter's hen party. Everything you need is here!! Plenty of room amazing bedrooms and the hot tub!! Top spec all the way through!! This large and very well presented B&B property is ideally situated to visit nearby Hardwick Hall and is just off the motorway. In a safe, rural location, it is purpose built and has plenty of safe easy parking. Our room was spacious well appointed, albeit somewhat functional and lacking decorative touches. The walls are very thin, so our loud neighbour kept us awake most of the night. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate.

If you’ve not booked Whitton lodge you must book it now! What an absolute gem of a house. Simply amazing could not fault one thing. Excellent customers service. Spotless. FRESH bed linen and towels. Soap, hand wash, untensils all included. Nothing was a problem. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back. Thank you so much for having us.

Stayed here last night, with three work colleagues. All four rooms were spotlessly clean, SUPER friendly host (Kim) immaculate grounds, beautiful building, comfortable huge lounge area. A REAL find, stayed for one night, but will definitely be back anytime we are working in and around the area, even if we are working 20 to 30 miles away, its worth the extra travel to stay here.
