Mercure Auckland Queen Street

The hotel was very clean. Although it's not right in the center of Queen Street, it's still very close, just a few minutes' walk. It offers great value for money. The breakfast was also good, and luggage storage was very convenient.

Arrived a bit late on the first day and was told only street-facing, accessible rooms were available. The room noise was quite noticeable. I tried to switch rooms that day but was informed the hotel was fully booked. Luckily, I was able to move to a slightly quieter room the next day. The breakfast was quite basic, with no fresh fruit and limited options. I'd recommend eating breakfast outside the hotel instead.

When I searched Google Maps for directions from the airport, it showed 2-3 transfers. However, the bus accepts credit card tap payments, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel's location halfway up a steep hill was a bit of a hassle, but the bus stop was close by, making airport access convenient. The compact room was clean and very functional. Note that toothbrushes and razors are not provided, so bring your own. There's no bathtub, but the shower has both a fixed and a handheld head. The power outlets are Type O, and there's also a Type A USB port next to the outlet.

The location is okay, but the environment is quite average. Facilities: The facilities are pretty old and can't compare to hotels in China. Since this was our first stop in Auckland, it left a less-than-great impression, feeling more like a 2 or 3-star hotel back home. Service: Parking was quite expensive. We parked in the hotel's basement, which is charged per night. The space was very small, probably only fitting about four or five cars in total. The garage roller door was closed. To park, you had to go to the front desk and ask them. There was an Indian guy at the front desk. When leaving, there's a green button you have to get out of the car to press yourself.
