The Glendevon Hotel

The service and food were excellent. After asking for the bill my son-in- law was handed two separate bills one for food and one for drink. Rather strange we all thought so he added the two together along with a tip. However on leaving he was stopped and told that he hadn't paid for the drinks which he had by adding the two bills together. I think if they wanted paid for the food and drink separately that should have been explained to him by one of the waitresses. A bit embarrassing for him!

Great hotel clean comfortable room amazing water pressure in the shower. I stayed on a Thursday and they had live music in the restaurant followed by karaoke later on. The food was excellent large choice of Indian food & some traditional dishes ( I had the chicken schnitzel with sauted potatoes, broccoli & mushroom sauce … very good) I’d also like to mention Sydney the extremely hard working bar maid, she was lovely 😁👍

Very good and I would stay again as it suited me down to the ground. Good value ,lovely and clean, comfortable room.

10/12/2024 My friend recommended we go for some drinks to celebrate the festive season, as she had been previously and throughly enjoyed it. However our evening was quickly ruined but one of the bartenders on shift, she was short and snappy with not only guests but with her own colleagues, while trying to enjoy our evening we overheard the bartender with short blonde hair speaking very aggressively to the younger lady who was also working behind the bar, she had snapped something along the lines of ‘don’t speak to me like that’ when she hadn’t done or said anything out of line or disrespectful - she was incredibly polite towards the other bartender and despite the other lady treating her terribly and she still managed to carry on working remain professional throughout the whole ordeal. This was completely unprofessional and unacceptable she felt she could speak to her colleagues like that in front of customers. This ruined the evening for us and made us feel very uncomfortable. I turly hope the young bartender is okay.

The staff went above & beyond when I had an issue. I was stuck at Gleneagles Station late into the evening in the bitter cold and they ensured that i could get to the hotel safely. The breakfast was delicious. Staff very friendly. They are renovating the hotel and you can see it is taking shape.

Comfortable bed. Nice bed linen and towels and good bathroom. But access to the room was shabby and all carpets looked the worse for wear. Parking was limited and we had to leave our car on the road on Saturday night. Some staff were lovely others less so.
