My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary here. To describe in one word….. fabulous! The most important thing to me when staying at a hotel is cleanliness… and as expected - it was spotless. Some of the things that were our favorites were the complementary e-bikes (we rode bikes everyday), the bed, pillows, and linens were so luxurious, the pool was so nice in the afternoons and the library where they have food presentations throughout the day was fantastic! The staff was so helpful, attentive, and great to talk with. We had a great time and would love to come back sometime. We only live 30 miles away and was able to take advantage of a local 30% off special so that definitely helped these 2 teachers be able to afford this luxurious get away.

A most Luxurious 2 night stay for a little R&R. We were not lookong for any ourist or active sightseeing. Mayne just a littld antiquing which we found at Angels i Opelika. We were just looking for a little pampering. This hotel has it all... small, but full of ambiance! The staff and rooms are impeccable the service friendly and accommodating but not overbearing. I can't say enough about this small gem in the heart of Auburn University, Alabama. All staff and cooking is done by students who graciously and willingly are anxious to show off their cooking and hospitality skills. The Nsspresso coffee and electric Tea kettles are a plus. Bathroom with 5 fixtures and double sinks. The Library room for quest provided complimentary breakfast, lunch, evening appys and light night desssert all made by students.Gourmet coffee available 24/7. Events through out the year include wine tasting by their own Sommelier. 1856 Restaurant has tapas tasting menu and various cooking demonstrations during the school year. College basket ball, football and baseball round out the sports. And don't forget the relaxing SPA. Roof top pool bar and lounge area were a favorite evening delight. Luxury toiletries, evening bed turn down, ambient lighting all add to a relaxing stay. Beautiful campus to explore, lots of safe walking space. Hotel is 3 yrs old and super clean and safe neighborhood. Valet parking. Truly a hidden Gem! We will be back.

Our Valentine’s weekend at The Laurel Hotel and Spa was truly unforgettable—one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had! From the moment we checked in at the library, we knew this was a special place. The library itself is a stunning space, offering four food services a day and a cozy, 24/7 retreat to relax and unwind. Subrina and Joseph made our experience even more delightful with their warm hospitality. The spa, located just across the way, was equally incredible. The service was top-notch, and the products used were luxurious and rejuvenating. Our room was beautifully appointed with thoughtful touches, including an honor bar, the deepest bathtub ever, relaxation spray, and sea salt made right from the hotel’s rooftop. The turn-down service added an extra layer of indulgence. The main hotel restaurant, 1856 is perfection. A 5-8 course tasting menu that changes every two weeks is their dinner focus. Angel is a doll and offered exceptional service. The wines paired with each course by Thomas were amazing. The rooftop bar was the perfect place to cap off our evenings, with fantastic drinks and delicious tapas, all set against a breathtaking view. asleigh was a fantastic server and ensured we had a wonderful time. Every detail at The Laurel Hotel and Spa feels designed for comfort and luxury, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for a truly special getaway!

A truly wonderful, small gem of a hotel. We stayed here last Spring and since then I've noticed a few changes (picks on the throw at the foot of the bed, electronics not working properly, tiny chips on the wood furniture, food displays in the Library "slimmer" then they were on our first visit). Nothing huge, but when you pay for a 5-diamond experience you expect perfection. Staff, as usual, was stellar. Just keep your eye on the ball with the details.

We just completed our stay at The Laurel Hotel and Spa and it was nothing less than 5 stars! From the moment you pull up to the valet to the moment they pull your car around for your departure they make you feel like the only guests in the hotel. Joshua the Guest Experience Expert gave us the warmest welcome and tour of the property. Every detail in the hotel has been thoughtfully planned and curated. My husband and I agree that this property rivals our stays at The Lodge in Sea Island. The Laurel is a prime example of how rewarding it can be to put the guest experience at the center of planning and managing a luxury hotel. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this hotel and I can’t wait to return!!

Having stayed at numerous Forbes 5-Star resorts, I can confidently say that my experience at the Laurel Hotel & Spa went above and beyond. The service was impeccable from check-in to departure, with staff greeting me by name and anticipating every need. The room was beautifully appointed and offered luxury amenities I’ve seldom seen elsewhere. The Epicurean dinner at 1856 was outstanding, served by a knowledgeable university student who added a unique, educational touch to the evening. The rooftop lounge and pool, with their gorgeous views, only added to the sense of luxury. The Laurel is truly a world-class destination in the heart of Auburn!

Service is excellent and amenities very nice. Location is downtown Auburn and perfect for exploring the university or the town itself. But, you may not want to leave the hotel proper as it is so luxurious. Highly recommend for a special day celebration.

From the warm welcome at the valet to John personally escorting us to the Library for check-in (with a glass of Prosecco) and then to the room for a tour and overview, everything was stellar. The quality of the room is on par with any fine hotel in the world, with chic decor, fine fabrics, and attention to every detail. The service and hospitality are second to none - especially Cole in the valet area and John in the welcome department. The Library is a beautiful space that makes every room feel like it is on the Club Level with the view, ambiance, and beautiful food presentations throughout the day. The rooftop bar and gardens are stunning and so unique. The 1856 restaurant for dinner is a must if you stay. The dinner with wine parings is exquisite. I've traveled all over the world and this hotel doesn't disappoint. It's hard to believe that it is in charming little Auburn Alabama!

Came to Auburn on a business trip and was blown away by the level of detail The Laurel offers! When we arrived at the valet, we were happily greeted by a gentleman who helped us get the car unloaded and sent bags to the room, and then took us up to The Library for check in with Mary Margaret. They both gave great explanations about the property as well as the amenities available, and offered us a glass of Prosecco. Then we were each walked to our rooms and given a full tour. During our stay we utilized The Library multiple times. Between drinks, mid afternoon food presentations, and breakfast no detail was missed. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful and the food and drinks were fantastic. The Laurel is definitely a gem in Auburn and deserves a visit. It is well worth it!
