We spent 5 days 4 nights in this hotel Rooms view sea newly renovated, at the 40th floor It was fantastic. Everything is modern. Very well isolated for noise. VERY clean. Closed swimming pool, renovation. Only 3 restaurants, extremely expensive $ This hotel is very well located on the Boardwalk. Ideal for couples. For the ******, very little machines, unlike neighbouring hotels. The only hik at this hotel is: No smile of employees! Small sensation of ... disturb them, except for doors and room women.

The sea view room has a view of the sea. The hotel is owned by a Japanese internet celebrity restaurant in New York. The ingredients are high-end and simple, and there are marble bathrooms. There are also disposable slippers in the room, which is available in high-end hotels. The coffee inside is made with very good coffee beans, and there are two Japanese chocolates, which are LAX brand. Check-in is in a specific room, and tea is also available.

Well even though i always request a ocean front room or atleast ocean view i never really get that. This time was even worse the view of the parking lot where there were people doing donuts & revving the engines extra loud taking videos or something at like 3am…. i swear the gentleman checking us in purposely gives you crappy views especially when I’m right in front of him asking for a nice room we’re here celebrating & clearly they don’t care. He’s checked me in before & also gave me a room with no view… The rooms are mediocre at best the hallways are musty & smell like cigarettes. Make sure you bring your allergy meds the amount of dust on the ceiling from the air/heat vent will def set you off!! We clearly stay there for the restaurants & atmosphere Other then that enjoy!!

On the surface, Golden Nugget is a solid choice. Rooms are nicely sized, pool area is great, tons of restaurants and generally a good vibe. However, service is severely lacking. The front desk is a complete disaster. I had added an extra night last minute for the two rooms I had reserved, and it was booked as a separate reservation. I called ahead and was assured it wasn't an issue. When I arrived, the agents were extremely pleasant and also told us there was no issue and we were good to go. Come to find out when I was in the middle of working the next day with my do not disturb sign on, this wasn't the case. Housekeeping barged in and said I was supposed to check out. Funny enough, they never came back the next two days to clean the room. I called the front desk and got a completely rude and different tune than the night before. They had me booked in an entirely different room. They managed to fix that, but myself and my travel companions had to go back down to recheck in and get new keys. They had to leave the pool and I had to stop working while I was trying to wrap up so I could enjoy my vacation, to go fix this error. Had this been communicated at check in, I would have handled it first thing in the morning. Sean at the front desk was, at least, apologetic and gave us a few drink vouchers. I would have been happy if everything was resolved. I thought we were done with the problems at this point, but it didn't stop there. The next day when we went to the pool, my friend who went with me to check back in, wasn't on her room so they wouldn't let her in, even though I witnessed her give her name. We had to leave and go down to the desk to get her added. I then find out that my room was blocked from room charges when I tried to order drinks at the pool, even though they had run my card, and I have the $100 hold on my amex to prove it. A little while later, my husband complained to the front desk when he couldn't charge a few coffees, they assured him he shouldn't have this problem and it was fixed. He went back down, and the workers had to call the front desk to confirm, and they said he was authorized (and it was on my bill). Later on, I called for room service and ran into the same issue. I called the front desk to complain and they told me my card was declined (it wasn't) and I needed to come down to run the card at 11 pm, yet again. I told them I had cash, and I was simply letting them know how many issues I had. They said they were sorry, but it was somehow my fault that the card wasn't run. I've never checked into a hotel where my card wasn't in file. They don't even let you check in without a hold. To wrap up the experience, when I addressed the issue with the woman checking me out since I didn't know how I could have charges since I was blocked from adding any to my room, she saw there was a credit card listed that wasn't mine. I gave her my card to show her it didn't match, and to settle the bill. She brought out the hotel

My employer prepaid for my trip and I received the confirmation email from the hotel. I had a 4pm check in time. I arrived at 5:45pmand the check in line was huge, but hey cool they have check-in kiosks. I enter my info and all looks good. I get. A message pops up that says my rooms not ready yet and to leave an email and I'd be notified when it's ready. I dropped off my luggage in a friend's room since I was there for business and had a meeting. Around 9:30 I went back to check the kiosk since I never got an email and after 30 mins in line they told me the kiosks are too dumb to reassign rooms. He proceeds to ask for my credit card (typical at hotels to guarantee you don't have any extra incidentals charged to the room) and I leave to my room finally at 10pm. I get to a room that reeled of ****, there were ashes on the bed spread and a wash cloth by the room door on the floor. The carpet was dirty and I found clumps of hair on the bathroom floor. Really nice. I then find out they charged me for the room even though it was prepaid by my employer. They charged over 50 people in my group even though the state prepaid it. After 3 days it's still not fixed even though a manager said they were taking care of it. During my visit they never came to freshen the sheets/towels. Even after I complained to the front desk about how dirty the room was. I was told come to front desk and they'd switch room but that also meant carrying my stuff back downstairs and waiting in line. At that rate I was charged for a room for a day for a shopping 2 hours of access to a dirty room. I feel like that day should have been comped. I will never stay there again. UPDATE: They finally refunded the room charges to my bank on Thursday after thie was being addressed in Monday.

GGuest UserMy wife and I researched most of the hotels in the area finally deciding on the Borgato. The visit started off by trying to valet my car at the Water Club; was told that because my car was a Tesla I should go to the other side. Cool, no problem. Check in was simple, used the app. Stopped at the desk anyway, asked about getting a suite for the weekend. The person called her supervisor who directed her to tell us that our visit was too long. My guess is that charging me $50 more for three nights wasn’t enough money when compared to what they could charge someone for one night. Whatever, I should’ve booked a suite in the first place. They were able to “upgrade” the room - but the hotel didn’t seem too busy so it I’m sure it wasn’t too big of an issue. The food selection was okay, the first night we ate at the food court which was hidden. Average cheesesteak, nothing to write home about. The next morning we are at Bread and Butter. We stood at the line entrance and weren’t greeted, so we moved to the other end where three associates were conversing. Two of which retreated to the back and the third moved to were originally stood.I ordered French Toast, it was okay. Clearly microwaved, which I wouldn’t have expected. My wife ordered egg sandwich that was also frozen and served on a burnt bagel. The tables were crowded and limited. The dealers had no personality, rarely interacted with the guests. A moved an empty bottle to the side of one of the tables - a pit boss asked if why I couldn’t put it in the garbage. That night we ate a Oldholme Stead Steakhouse. The only special was an A5 Waygu Steak, I was told it was the best steak they had. The steak had no sear and not cooked to my liking; I ate it because I had a hard time sending back a $200 steak. Again, we were met with service that was inattentive. We returned to the tables but due to the lack of additional staff to accommodate, the few extra tables were slammed. I waited on the sidelines for about 45 minutes to eventual open. The next morning we ate at the Metropolitan. Walked in and was met with a, “Two!?”. We sat and ordered after about 10 minutes. The food eventually arrived 35-40 minutes later, the quality was about the same as the morning before. However, this time part of my order was missing. When I asked where it was, I was met with “you still want it?”. Granted it was just sausage, but I ordered it. Instead of offering an apology at any point, I was given two cold *****s of bacon.

GGuest UserThis hotel is not cheap, but there is no elevator, and the room structure is very old-fashioned, the facilities are old, the air conditioning is too loud, the breakfast is too small, and there is basically nothing to eat. Considering the external environment of Atlantic City, living here feels particularly insecure. The only good thing is that it is close to the beach, and the service staff is very good. There is a young girl who also helped to carry a heavy luggage to the third floor. Thank you very much!

7722lindseyvI stayed here with my fiance 8/21-8/23. This was my first hotel stay during the pandemic. Pros: Location is good, about a block from the boardwalk/ocean in a non-busy area and close walk to Tropicana. Room has good Flat screen tv. Overall the room seemed pretty clean. Pillows very comfortable A+. Cons: Towels (mainly hand towels looked and felt very old and were discolored which was not comforting). No breakfast is served right now which was disappointing, but understandable I guess. I had to directly ask about the breakfast not being served vs being told about it at check-in. We were also not given the correct wifi password on key card holder, but later we were able to ask front desk the next day and get correct password. The outside of hotel is not very clean. The bed slightly firm for our taste. The Pepsi machines around property do NOT work but there is a convenience store across the street. Your room neighbors can also make or break your stay as walls are thin. Parking is $10 extra just fyi.

5522tristacI was SO surprised by the cleanliness and updated decor of the room.Even the smoking room is clean and no odor.Super friendly staff- the electric outlets by the bed arent working, but when I told the front desk, they were so wonderful. We came to AC for a 3 day mini-vacation and decided to spend a little less on hotels so we could budget more for shopping and food. And where ready for a scary dirty smelling room- we even brought our own bedding and cleaning supplies if needed, but the room was spotless, freshly cleaned and they even had the AC on so the room was cool and comfortable right away.Location is perfect-steps away from the boardwalk. Central to the beach and shops. Perfect for dropping off purchases throughout the day. And the king bed is firm but so comfortable. My partner has really bad insomnia, but he slept like a baby. Even being right on the main road, we barely heard any street or pedestrian noise. Is the room perfect? No. There are a few minor cosmetic problems that could be fixed. But, for 60$ a night, right on the beach,I am extremely pleased. I am so glad that I didn't listen to all of the bad reviews because this place is wonderful. And I am already planning to stay here again! I would suggest bringing your own comforter if you like heavy blankets to sleep. And maybe a coffee maker (as there isnt one in our room-which is okay because we dont drink coffee). But honestly, if you want something close to the beach and shopping without breaking the bank, this is a great place.
