Atlantic Beach Resort, a Ramada by Wyndham

The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We could see the ocean from our balcony, even though we were not right on the beach. It was a short walk to the beach and the beach is lovely! There are many delicious restaurants in the area. We liked the Crab Shack and Half Moon. The area has many things to do. We also explored the little town of Beaufort, which is just across the bridge. It has a small home town feel and lots of shops and restaurants to explore.

Good location, walking distance to the circle with some restaurants right on the beach. The place itself is kind of dated but beds comfortable and the curtains block out the sun nicely. The pools were clean with plenty of parking. Since we had a two bedroom our unit was on the top floor (I read other reviews about hearing the neighbors above). The place itself didn't offer any kind of activities but we were a couple looking for relaxation so it was just fine for us.

We stayed there Aug 31- Sept 7 2024. We actually cut our vacation short. We stayed in building. 25c. Everything seemed fine when we got there. That night I went to the kitchen. I turned on the light and there were roaches everywhere. There were over 60 tiny roaches crawling on the stove and bigger ones on the floor. We complained to them 3 times. Absolutely nothing was done. They didn’t spray or anything. They kept saying they would handle it but never did. That’s why we cut our vacation short. We pay over 3000.00 in maintenance fee. This is unacceptable.

The beds were comfy and the gentleman that checked us in was awesome (I think his name was John). However, the refrigerator ice machine didn’t work, the kitchen was poorly equipped, and we killed several roaches in the primary bedroom. Additionally, when our room keys stopped working the day before checking out, the staff (I think his name was Michael) was rude about replacing the keys. The outdoor grills were in poor working condition. I can’t recommend this resort and don’t plan to return.

The rooms were filthy, numerous things in the room were broken including the air and shower, and the outside “amenities” were old and dilapidated. The price was too high for what was provided.

Great place- pools were clean, walking distance to beach, close to shopping, eating, etc. will be back-

The room was great, not super clean but it was spacious and fit our family of 5 (3 kids under 5) perfect. The room above was super noisy.

Great place to stay. 3 pools to choose from, close to beach access. Adequate parking, and elevators for ease.

Our stay at the "resort" was not a great one. I will start with the good. Clean room, multiple pools was a plus, and the fact that that the room had a full kitchen was excellent. Also, the room was quite spacious, and it was nice to have beach access from the "resort". Now for the bad. The sofa sleeper had stains on the mattress, so my daughter had to sleep on the sofa surface the four nights we were there. There was a door in the room for connecting to the next room, it had no soundproofing, we could hear everything the next room over was doing and saying. Unluckily it was a family that had small children (two to be exact) so to say it was loud the whole time we were there was an understatement. It was so bad that at times it would seem that our neighbors were in the room with us. Something else to keep in mind also is that they charge for parking at this "resort". So, an additional charge that we weren't quite expecting. It was in the listing for this property, but it was not until after we booked the room that I noticed it all the way at the bottom almost hidden. So, you might say, why didn't I contact the front desk. We did, we text them in response to them sending a text to us asking how our stay was going. My text referenced the lack of soundproofing, the stains on the mattress, and also that there were no privacy screens on the window and sliding glass door. It was either room darkening shades or completely open, and that we didn't have enough towels. The response we received was, there should be more towels in one of the closets. Thats it, just a response to the towels. We will not stay again. Nothing was ever address, not one person came back to try and take care of anything. To say this place is a resort is laughable. Not worth the price. The pictures on the listing are misleading, the whole place needs some TLC. I hope that either the resort fixes these issues or at the least, this review will steer families away from staying here. Lastly, we witnessed roaches while walking back and forth to our room from the beach access and pools in the parking lot. Again, will not stay again!!!
