Kimon hotel is nice and clean has some old spots and wear but still neat. Be sure to request a lower floor room if you ve a large luggage . No lift on the property . But Mr George is nice and kind do offer help with the luggage . Also offer counter luggage safe keep .

The hotel is in a prime location, just a 7-minute walk from Constitution Square, next to the pedestrian street, and a 15-minute walk from the Acropolis. It is very convenient for dining, shopping and traveling. The hotel has a beautiful decoration style. There is a small garden on the top floor, from which you can overlook the Acropolis and the night view is great. There are two churches nearby and you can hear the bells ringing, but it's not noisy. The hotel service is warm and friendly. The two restaurants recommended by George at the front desk are both delicious. Yiasemi restaurant is very beautiful, just on the road coming down from the Acropolis. Saita restaurant is more traditional and beautiful, and the grilled squid is delicious. The people in Greece are very friendly and prices are lower than elsewhere in Europe.
PS:George: I went to Saita at night and had grilled squid. It was perfect! Thank you very much!

There was a very friendly welcome from Mary who was extremely informative, friendly and helpful throughout my stay. There's no lift at the Kimon Hotel and the stairs have no handrail in places which feel quite treacherous. The roof terrace is nice but the rooms are well below par. The main reason to stay here is the location which is ideal for getting to all the interesting historic sites. The balcony was inaccessible unless you climb through the window so worthless to most. There was dust and hair, not my own, throughout the room. The toilet was positioned such that an adult cannot sit straight on it due to the position of the sink. This hotel is a massive compromise just for location and I would not stay here again.

A perfect location and lovely hosts. Mary was such a lovely and accommodating host, we loved interacting with her every singular moment which I would never feel in the United States. She would do anything to make us happy; our needs were actually low but the potential and her willingness to accommodate was high.

Lovely small hotel with a spot-on location, in a short walkable distance from all of the major sights in central Athens. Extremely friendly management who provided useful recommendations for transfers and restaurants. Rooms a little worn but very clean and well-kept. If You have mobility issues beware that there are a lot of steps and no elevator, as clearly stated on their homepage. You get rewarded though, with a lovely lush roof terrace with tables and a view of acropolis hill. Would definitely recommend!

Very basic hotel, best for no more than a couple nights. Great location, reception very nice. Bed comfort was okay but not the worse. Check out Thea terrace best view of acropolis and decent prices! Lolos best local spot for food Okostas best gyro is Athens!
