Minus: The toothbrush holder looked very dirty, I would probably give it a deep clean. There were some signs of mold in the shower and the toilet paper holder was loose from the wall. The rain shower head lived a life of its own, very inconsistent with how the water came out, it also took time for the water to warm up. If you care about noise, don't get a room with a street view, the windows really weren't soundproof at all. The location is a bit sketchy at night. I would also recommend the hotel to advertise to people not to waste food at the breakfast buffet because there was A LOT of it by others when we were there. This is a big thing for hotels in the north. Pros: The room looked quite newly renovated. Seems like the hotel was under renovation because when we were there it was a completely different style from the breakfast room to the room. It's probably going to be very pretty when it's finished. Plus for the minibar and kettle in the room. Plus for a separate toilet room and shower room. Great view from the balcony in the room and from the roof terrace. Great, down to earth staff. Also a very good breakfast, I have stayed in many different hotels and this is one of the best breakfasts in Europe for me.

Really unprofessional staff at reception, the story is I do join 2 nights meeting event here
My group booked 2 nights already without payment (the principal would support 1 night and I must pay 1 night as our agreement)
Then I booked for my own 1 night and online paid, remain 1 night that our principal would support
Once I arrived for check in, the reception asked for 1 night pay instantly and they couldn't find my name/my husband's name in any booking -- I had never faced an awful situation before (don't check but easy to change, don't care for my information, don't listen to me when I informed the name of group at all)
Hotel staff can't find a booking even in trip.com or from the group ๐ then I need to pay 1 night (which the principal will pay later) and he still ask for my booking number in trip.com, so poor practice I have never seen before such a who got all the data but unskilled to check any...
It might be a typical person here for no service mind and don't try to understand
I take 2 hours to talk and become my fault for duplicate booking....๐ and he ask me for โhow to know I paid in the 2nd night ๐ ask me to show online statement in my e-banking !?!?!? ,Once I showed he said how to know it is mean to Stanley (statement show the perfect similar of decimal with pay under name trips.com....????)
So senselessly staff
However I finally got back my money, with the assistance of my Greek colleagues
If you have to book here, please don't expect them to be close to standard for a 1 star hotel actually
It's one of the most rough service from my experience
Good cleaning room, near subway but nothing around, simple amenity

How should I put it? Before traveling, I saw a personal recommendation on Xiaohongshu and said that the breakfast here is delicious. But I saw some negative comments below, such as the surrounding environment is very bad and there are many bad people. But I couldn't stand the fact that the price/performance ratio was really good, and I also liked the room type, so I decided to give it a try and booked it for two nights. There is an access control as soon as you enter the hotel. You have to ring the doorbell to open the door. The staff at the front desk are very enthusiastic. I arrived at about 11 o'clock in the morning and there was actually a room that I could enter. This is usually only possible at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Very rare for Athens.
After entering the room, the window can be opened, the bathroom is divided very scientifically, the bedding is clean, and earplugs are thoughtfully provided (although I didn't use them). I went back to the hotel at around five o'clock both nights to watch TV and rest. When you leave the hotel, it is recommended to turn left immediately and walk out of this short alley, which is about ten meters away. It is actually very safe after that. Do not wear sandals when walking in this area, it is safer.
For breakfast, the area is not large, but the restaurant is very cozy, and the room price includes three breakfasts. On average, the price is really cost-effective. Moreover, it only takes a few minutes to walk to the Place de la Concorde and about ten minutes to reach the Constitution Square. It is very close to the attractions. So the location is good.
The staff is also very friendly to the children. When they were waiting for me downstairs, they took the initiative to give them pens and paper to draw, which was very caring. I had to print out urgent documents for personal reasons, and the front desk helped me do it for free. Thank you very much!
In short, if you are a young person, staying in this hotel is very cost-effective. I live here with my two children. I deliberately try to be safe and try to stay on the main roads and avoid alleys. It is actually safe.
The boss also gave me a discount when buying souvenirs, and asked the children to write postcard messages before leaving, leaving a pleasant memory.
Very Good

Excellent value for money hotel in a fantastic location just a few minutes walk from Athensโ most visited spots. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. No tea/coffee making facilities but I donโt know if thatโs normal in Athens, but there is a fridge and great air conditioning. Then roof top bar in their sister hotel Plaka is well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

First the hostel was not as good as it was the years before, because of the prices, they were much higher. But then I met Johny at the reception, we were talking the 1st evening for 2 hours for everything. Next evening I was at the bar with Johny, Martin, Walther and Ami. The reason to come here is Johny, Martin, Walther and Ami.

I liked the location because it was quiet and not a noisy tourist area. I was able to visit major tourist attractions on foot. Even the subway station was close. There were delicious brunch restaurants, a coin laundromat, and a supermarket nearby, so it was convenient to use. This is a place I would like to recommend. I could always drink delicious coffee.

This is a beautiful hotel located close to restaurants, shopping and the Acropolis. The rooms are large and well appointed with a mini kitchen inconspicuously included. The hotel staff member present at our check in was friendly, helpful and personable. We were a family of 10 (3 rooms) and had only one half day and evening on this short stopover. Yet we ate, shopped and visited the Acropolis easily during our stay! I definitely recommend this hotel

We chose to return 2 years later and stay longer because this Hotel ticks all the boxes. The location is ideal as more than a few hundred shops including lots of very memorable restaurants are within easy walking distance. The Hotel is not too big or small so the very friendly and helpful staff will always have time to meet your needs. The cleaning staff are very efficient, thorough and may learn your routine so you may have your rooms cleaned while you are out or enjoying your breakfast in the dining room. The breakfast is not a full blown buffet but should easily satisfy all but the pickiest of eaters. We did not tire of the variety even after 3 weeks and enjoyed every visit. The front desk staff even helped us by organising some day tours that were outstanding. Some notice of these requests would be required though, it shows how versatile they can be. This Hotel we consider to be our home away from home, with fresh air and exceptionally quiet rear facing rooms, perfect mattress etc. It is the ideal gateway to Athens. Note: Taxis are all cheap and newish now. Eating out is great value with amazing quality and variety. OMG you will love it!!!
A unique accommodation experience awaits you at ATHENARUM PORTUS.
A brand new life & style hotel in the center of Piraeus. ideally located as it is within walking distance of the port,

Very nice little hotel, close to the ferry gates and the metro station, extremely friendly staff. The room was very confortable, nespresso machine and minibar. The elevator is slow, so we took the stairs most of the time. Would definitely stay again.

GGuest UserMiraMe has the BEST shower we have ever experienced. THE BEST SHOWER! It comes with four different ' heads ' and the water pressure is extremely powerful so taking a shower after a hot day in Athens was an absolute joy. Usually the rainshower found in most hotels is weak, but MiraMe's jets are very forceful and steady water temperature. The other three ' heads ' are one for the chest, one for the butt and one for the legs. Then there is also one separate hand held shower head on the side. The shower room is spacious and drainage is smooth, and the door seals perfect so there is no worry of a leak. We cannot claim to be hotel experts but for the 30+ odd years of travelling and having stayed in over 60 hotels in many cities, we can vow loud and clear that MiraMe has really sourced the BEST shower model, and other hotels, even other leading hotels in the world should dump theirs and change them into MiraMe's.
Locationwise, MiraMe also is very good. The main shopping districts are just 10 mins walk away where you can find famous brands as well as plenty of shoe shops. In the area are major bus stops , great variety of restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, pharmacies and other nice hotels.
The room we had booked is ' deluxe family room with balcony ' that has a short flight of stairs leading to an attic for the 3rd person. It is a nice nook up there for some privacy with a bed and a sofa and an individual air con that provides a comfy temp. The balcony is small and not much view so we hardly used it. Breakfast is provided up on the rooftop bar cum lounge, where a young staff manned the place and served freshly made breakfast cooked to each guest's order every morning. The rooftop has a nice open view of the Acropolis and has very nice updated music that is cool but not too loud and wild.
They also have a bar on the G/F serving drinks. The staff are all young and pleasant, polite and helpful and they try their best to help with restaurant bookings and recommendations etc.
MiraMe is a clean and modern boutique hotel that provides sufficient toiletries to make the stay comfy and carefree. Housekeeping is discreet and the bedding is all clean and white, bath and hand towels and floors and things we touch are basically clean. Again, we cannot praise enough their wonderful shower that has to be the BEST in the whole world.
The hotel is in a quiet street but in a very safe neighbourhood, so even if you return late everyone feels very secure and safe.
GGuest UserThis is an extremely nice hotel situated in a perfect location. Our stay and review are based on a Superior room You would be hard pressed to find an Athens hotel in a better location. You are right in the middle of all the action with shops and restaurants nearby. You are spoilt for choice. Although in a busy area we found the excellent double- glazed doors/windows kept any noises out and it was not an issue at all. Our Superior room came with a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities although that is not listed on their website. It may be worth e-mailing them if this is important to you. There was air-con but in March there was no need to make use of it so we cannot comment on its efficiency. The toilet/bathroom came with those tiny bottles of shampoo and body wash which we refuse to use on environmental grounds so we brought our own and used that. There was a sign saying that if the used towels were hung up then it was assumed that we were happy to reuse them. The cleaners replaced them daily regardless. The rooms were kept very clean. This hotel has much going for it. We grabbed a deal here at a very attractive price which included breakfast. The breakfast arrangements were in a fairly small area but we felt that a good selection was provided considering the space limitations. Plenty of fresh vegetable choices and delicious too. The Tomatoes and Cucumber just tasted so much better than we are used to. Cereals, bread, cakes, fruit and coffee from a machine. We looked forward to our breakfast every morning and didnโt grow tired of it. Minor gripes (being very picky). The over the bath shower was a mini battle in so much that it was prone to shoot water out onto the floor if you werenโt being careful. It could have been better but all we had to do was to adjust our showering habits and all was ok in the end. Our room had a balcony facing out to the street below. It would have been nice for a couple of chairs out there rather than just a large pot plant and the air-con unit for company. I did notice that no other balconies on other building had chairs out so perhaps that is just the Athens way. We had a Fridge in our room. Very welcome. A very close mini supermarket was the cheapest place we could find to buy water. E0.39 for 1.5 litres as I recall. We loved this hotel. All the staff were so nice and so helpful. I canโt remember all of their names but Irena and Eva come to mind. They helped make our stay wonderful. It had a curiously homely feel about the place. March time was a great time of the year as it was a pleasant day time temperature with it getting a bit chilly in the evenings. You could still dine outdoors but with a patio heater nearby. We loved Athens and have decided to return next March with the flights already booked. We will stay at the Plaka Hotel again. 5 stars from us
GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very good. There are many cafes and restaurants right next to the Athens commercial street and it is very convenient. The supermarket is also very close. The hotel room is clean and the service is good. Especially the breakfast is extremely rich and delicious. The breakfast location overlooks the Acropolis and the scenery is unparalleled. I have stayed in this hotel several times and am very satisfied
Stayed for a few nights here on my first visit to Athens. Itโs a well air conditioned hotel located on a quiet street only 5 mins walk from bars and restaurants, and 10 mins further to the Acropolis. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the breakfast perfunctory. The room, if a bit small, was clean and comfortable.
ๆฑๆฑThis hotel is really good, not rare in Europe! The hotel is located at the end of the Zeus Temple, at the end of the food street. Walking to the Acropolis and Syntagma Square are 1 km away. The way to the Acropolis is full of restaurants and shops, very convenient. The hotel's facilities are complete with slippers, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shaving foam and lotion. Just bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. A kettle and tea bags are provided, and a small fridge can store the food you buy. The decoration of the hotel is also very delicate and clean, and the service is very good. The overall feeling is that there are four-star standards in China. It is really rare in Europe! Itโs hoping to write a lot of useful information for my friends, because I also like the travellers who leave detailed and true comments.
AAnonymous UserConvenient location with just one subway ride to the airport.
Views of the Acropolis from the rooms and breakfast area. Breakfast was buffet style and I was satisfied with both the quantity and taste.
The room is spacious enough and the water area is clean.
There is no bathtub, but it is acceptable.
The information at the reception was kind and pleasant.
I plan to stay here again the next time I stay in Athens.
I was considering staying at a Japanese inn on Paros (Nyanyako Travel, Sakusaku House), but the service was so bad that I decided against it and went to another island and Athens. As expected, there were some troubles after that, including financial matters, so I'm really glad I didn't get involved.
If you are going on a special trip, I recommend staying at a well-run hotel like A for, rather than being stingy and staying away from weird hotels.
EEscape57205021476We had two rooms end of March 2016. Brilliant location, we were able to walk to all the sights and restaurants etc. A very nice hotel with very friendly staff :) The rooms were large, individual, quirky and clean so we were happy :) True that it doesn't have the hotel name on the door only number 27. One of the rooms had the bed up on a mezzanine level which was low in the ceiling but a fun unusual solution. Pity that room didn't have a light in the bathroom though. Overall we were very happy and would recommend staying at the Emporikon hotel :)
KK_tabiThe location was good as it was close to the Parthenon and within walking distance to the nearest station, but the view from the room was so close to the building next door that I couldn't see the night view. That was the only disappointing part. It was great to be able to see the Parthenon and the night view from the rooftop.
The room was clean and I stayed there for two days, and I was happy that they cleaned the room between days.
He also spoke English, so he was kind enough to call me a taxi.
PPereiraNot to mention the personal taste for the architecture and decoration of the building, which in fact varies from person to person. The hotel is well located, the area surrounding the hotel may not be the most pleasant, but it is safe, friendly and available, with a smart TV which is important for those traveling with children. As it is a 3 star rating is excellent, we cannot ask for a 3 to be a 4 star. For me it's a top 3.
