Hotel Grand Bach Atami Crescendo

The name of the hotel is strange😳, I didn't expect much. But the service and dinner level exceeded expectations. The location is on the mountain, and it is not easy to go up from Atami Station. I came to Atami before Christmas and was lucky enough to see the fireworks. There are private baths in the room, as well as public baths and saunas.

The room I booked has a rectangular hot spring pool, but I found out after checking in that I was assigned another hexagonal room. This is not good. Because Ctrip shows that the two room booking pages are different. I stayed for a few days and it was quiet. The dinner focused on the sense of ceremony and the taste was Western. The overall environment is beautiful, but remote.

The view from the open-air bath was amazing and relaxing. It was a shame I forgot to take photos of the night view... I'd like to stay here again.

When I first checked in, I thought it was a bit ordinary, and the facilities did not reflect the price, but after dinner, I took back my opinion. The dining standard here is really high, whether it is dinner or breakfast, it is of a very high standard.

I knew it was a great hotel. I had stayed there before and had their New Year's meal this year. When we arrived, the manager kindly took care of our forgotten belongings, which we were very grateful for. The following are my own impressions. As someone who enjoys listening to J.S.Bach, I was hoping for Bach to be the background music at Grand Bach. Well, this time we visited for our anniversary, but my wife said, ``No one is going to congratulate us, is there?''. During dinner, as we talked with the sommelier over wine and alcohol, the conversation casually turned to our musical tastes. As we were enjoying dessert, a live piano suddenly started playing an aria from Bach's Goldberg Variations. I recognized it immediately from the first few notes and it touched my heart. It was the song I had told the sommelier as my recent favorite. Although it was not the usual repertoire of the daughter who played the instrument, her earnest performance was rather childish and touching. Immediately afterwards, the staff members sent me congratulatory messages and presents with smiles. My wife and I would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to her through this message board.
