Room was spacious.
Nice traditional style design.
My room only has a toilet. No private bath. If you don’t mind the public bath with the onsen, go for it.
Amazing view of the sea.
Downside is the hill + stairs climbing if you come at a timing outside of the transport service.

The hotel is on the side of a very steep mountain. Driving and parking are very inconvenient. It is quite a distance from the business district at the foot of the mountain. The steep stairs going up the mountain are very difficult at night. There is no bathroom in the hotel room, so you need to go to the public bathroom. There are many ants in the tatami corner. The elevator only goes to the lower floors. If you live on the upper floors, you need to carry your luggage and climb the stairs. The two Indian waiters at the front desk had poor English skills and could only barely communicate. The advantages are that there is plenty of sunshine on the terrace, the Internet speed provided by the hotel is good, and the laundry room is clean and hygienic.

Facilities:
The hotel is on the mountain. I came to Atami just to watch the fireworks festival. The hotel room only has a toilet, no shower, and can only take a bath and soak in the public bathroom.
Service:
The hotel front desk is an elderly Japanese man. He doesn't speak good English. I can understand him, but he answered in Japanese, so there was a communication barrier. The next day, a Southeast Asian man came. He spoke good English and could communicate without any obstacles. He helped me call a taxi down the mountain.
Environment:
After watching the fireworks festival in Atami, the transportation was really inconvenient. I couldn't get a taxi, so I had to walk all the way up the mountain back to the hotel.

The room facilities are relatively old but fortunately they are relatively clean. The scenery is nice but the hotel is halfway up the mountain. Transportation is not very convenient. You have to walk everywhere.
