Very classic. Excellent hot spring hotel. The hot spring is very comfortable. The room has a great view. The area is large. The food is not particularly outstanding. It is a bit tiring to eat. There are some memorable dishes missing. It is very convenient to watch the fireworks festival.

The staff was very attentive. When it rained heavily that day, I arrived at the hotel and gave me a towel and hair dryer.
Pay attention to the location of the hotel, it's not easy to find, if there is a taxi left, it should arrive soon

I was going to give 4 stars(very good) for our one night stay, however due to the Bell desk attitude, I decided to give it an average. I have stayed at many Ryokans in Japan, when you check out and leave, hotel host, bell desk people will all see us off. This hotel is an exceptional, they did not seem to care if we are leaving. I suspect it is because we did not book a taxi with them, instead of called on our own. Nobody came out to help with the luggage and see us off. This is not a typical Japanese service. The man who works outside to direct traffic and answer question seemed to have attitude toward tourist from abroad. This is not acceptable. on the other hand, room service agent was a lovely lady, she served breakfast and dinner in our room, she was very friendly and professional. I cannot say enough good things about her and her service. Food quality was good and expected too. One bad apple ruined our whole experience with this hotel. the bell boy.

Fantastic experience...only wish we would have had more time. We used this as a hub prior to climbing Mt. Fuji - not too far from the Atami Station and easy to access.
Staff is helpful, kind and very welcoming. Beautiful Ryokan - would definitely come back to visit again.
