Best place for staying in Egitto. The nicest and wormiest people and the location brings so much peace. If you like to know local people and enjoy community spaces, it’s your place. 100% recommended. Special mention to the incredible food and Nubian coffee. Hope to come back!

The place was amazing. It was like a cozy family house. The rooms have shared bathrooms but they are very clean. The rooms have strong wifi signal. The best part of our stay was the Nubian dinner followed by a jamming session of traditional Nubian music with hot piping jabana coffee. It was so soothing to our souls. Mr.bassam was so helpful and conversations with him were very enriching. The place is also very near to public ferry service. But the only trouble we had was reaching the place by road. So, booking private tours to abu simbel or elsewhere will cost little more as we have to be transported to the other bank early in the morning. Even direct pickups from this location will be charged more. But the extra money is worth the stay in this place as it is away from the east bank hustle. If you want to experience Nubian culture you can stay here.

I stayed with a group in Egypt for 2 weeks & spent 10 of those days in Aragheed Nubian Guest House with Bassam & his family. It was the highlight of the entire trip. They make you feel like a part of their family. Such a beautiful home with picture perfect scenery. We could see the Noble’s Tombs & the Nile from the top floor. Breakfast & dinner were always delicious. Bassam has connections for everything we needed. Every night was filled with beautiful music being played live, delicious Nubian style coffee made fresh & many other pleasures. Egypt was wonderful, but it is Bassam at the Aragheed house in the Nubian Kingdom that l will be going back to visit for.

I had the opportunity to come with my group to this safe haven and we all were so happy we did. The place with it’s beautiful decor, zen feel, music and love was hard to leave. Some of the members even extended their trip and stayed longer. The vibe, food and overall stay was more than we can ask for. Thanking Bassam and all the staff that made this stay beautiful and so welcoming a home away from home. We loved it! Recommend 100%.

My friend and I (two girls) had the best experience at the guest house, when we left we honestly felt sad that we would leave captain Bassaam and the rest of the staff. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We very taken care of very well and entertained every night. From the amazing Nubian coffee with dates, the fresh juice and great food to the musical jam sessions at night in the tent, everything was just perfect. We felt so much at home, we wished we could have stayed longer. I will definitely come back.

Everything about my 3 nights and 2 days at the Nubian Kingdom Aragheed experience was absolutely fabulous! The Aragheed house is a family home and the three men who meet and greet each visitor, went out of their way to make sure I felt welcomed and like a valued family member. Thank you Basam, Imad, & Mohamed for your kindness. Nubian people are very very warm & wonderful! It was 40 degrees Celsius when I arrived at 9pm, and Imad greeted me with a warm smile and cold fruit juices. Everything about my 3 nights and 2 days at the Nubian Kingdom Aragheed experience was absolutely fabulous! The Aragheed house is a family home and the three men who meet and greet each visitor, went out of their way to make sure I felt welcomed and helped me laugh, learn and practice my terribly weak Arabic. . Thank you Basam, Imad, & Mohamed. It was 40 degrees Celsius when I arrived at 9pm, and Imad greeted me with a warm smile and fresh & cold fruit juices. I had at my ready at all times the kitchen & kettle to make Egyptian Tea (with garden fresh mint) and Nubian coffee. Breakfast is included and the choice of hot and cold food were plentiful and presentation was very typical for a Nubian family. The first morning while making plans to cruise down the Nile with The Aragheed men, myself & the 2 other guest confirmed having dinner at the house. The afternoon on the Nile was wonderful, and we came home to the most delicious dinner made by Basam’s sister in law (3 different types of fish, salad, rice, dips, and dessert)! The rooms are large, clean, & air conditioned. The bathroom down the hall is just like the bathroom from your bedroom in your apartment (3 bedrooms in this (apartment). I loved having access to the kitchen, Egytian team ( with fresh mint from the garden) & Nubian coffee were offered and available all day and night. Breakfast is free/included and the choice of hot and cold food was plentiful. The presentation was professional and traditionally Nubian.. The bedrooms are large, clean, & air conditioned. The beds are on a frame on the floor and very very comfortable. The bathroom down the hall is just like the bathroom from your bedroom in your apartment (3 bedrooms in this (apartment). I shared it with 2 other girls and because there were bathrooms on every floor it was never a problem. The owner Basam has his degree in Egyptology and is very open minded and compassionate when discussing the differences in global cultures. Imad never stops cleaning, cooking and simply checking in on you. Mohammed plays a mean game of Dominoes! As a solo female traveller, Basam, Mohammed and Imad made me feel relaxed and empowered. They asked all the time what I wanted, needed or how could they help me experience Egypt. Not only is the Nubian Kingdom Aragheed House priced very reasonablely, it was easy to tip these 3 men because staying here I only paid for day tors and dinner. -no “extra costs” were added-. I highly recommend the Nubia
