The check-in process became a bit unpleasant as their stated policies did not match what was written in our trip.com booking confirmation. This included check-in time and number of guests for the room. We included our children and even had their ages listed in the confirmation. Upon check-in we were told that it was only a room for two adults. We were then instructed to pay extra for one child. Policies should be conveyed clearly when booking so we can know what to expect. Otherwise, the room had a beautiful view and the kids enjoyed the large pool. The breakfast buffet had a great selection.

It’s one of if not the best hotel in Aswan, situated in an exclusive island with an amazing view of the Nile and Nubian village. The staff was super comforting and lovely. There’s a shuttle boat that runs 24 hours to the main center of Aswan. I had an incredible time here. ＜3

The hotel is in an island in the Nile river - there are 2 buildings old and new -The Nile view from the balcony is amazing. Great breakfast - polite and courteous staff . Everything is excellent.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The facilities are very old! It's like a guest house. It's very noisy. As for the thin soles of the slippers, these are minor flaws. One of the few (only) advantages of this hotel is the view, both from the room and the restaurant. But! You must be careful not to open the windows when no one is around. A gust of wind can bring sand and dust into the room. I didn't pay attention when I went out, and I was caught. As soon as I entered the room, I couldn't stop coughing. When checking in, no one reminded me of such an important thing. For dinner, the view was good but the taste was so-so. However, in addition to the service charge, they also ask you to write down how much tip you are willing to pay on the bill. The problem is that when eating, asking for water, paper towels, etc. is always slow and delayed. In a serious Dinner restaurant, soup, main dishes, and desserts are all served together. Can you believe it? Okay, since I dare to write how much tip you are willing to pay, then I dare to write "0"🙄 Finally, some of the waiters in this hotel can really trick you into tipping you. It took two people to move the boxes from the hotel to the pier. After disembarking, it took three more people to move the boxes. As for the welcome fruits on the first day when I checked in, and the knock on the door to stop me from taking a shower, it was considered a pleasure and only a tip was needed. As for whether it was unpleasant for me to open the door naked, no one seemed to care. So, let me ask the Accor Group first, why would a hotel of this quality stay in the group? Both belong to the Accor Group and are both in Aswan. Although the Old Waterfall is expensive, I still recommend that anyone who wants to have a good vacation mood book the Old Waterfall! The best you can do here is to have a meal at a restaurant with a view. If you don't stay there, you'll be disappointed.
