Nomada Hostel

Nice place to stay lots of cool people at the hostel and nice staff. Very close to the inner city. Cats are very adorable. Only complaint is I wish the secondary bathroom light stayed on for more than three milliseconds

El Nómada Hostel is an incredible place to stay! The staff and owner, Miguel, are amazing, always going the extra mile to make your stay fun and memorable. The hostel is spotless and features a fantastic pool, an excellent bar, a spacious backyard for exercising or relaxing, a brilliant co-working space, a cozy TV room, and a fully equipped kitchen. It’s also centrally located, close to a massive supermarket. A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and community—highly recommend! 😁🌴

Cozy Nomad hostel with cute cats, garden and a cooling pool with a nice vibe to it. They played nice music all the time and the staff (both owner and volunteers) is super friendly and helpful. We had a spacious private room (couple), the bed was comfortable, AC made the room cool and wifi worked really good. Breakfast is pretty good and they have good prices in the bar. Shared kitchen for cooking. Just walking distance from supermarket, a few restaurants, bars and a mall. We had shared bathrooms (but there are privates ones with private bathroom as well) and that was the only thing we did not love as one of the two shared bathrooms are just at the bar (less privacy). Would stay there again and recommend! :)

Really not a good experience. I got back after a night out and the doors which require you to be buzzed in by someone were not answered. I started to panic a bit because it’s a dodgy area and felt unsafe. No one answered for 10 minutes or so and I had to climb in over a 2 metre fence. The main issue was when I explained this to the staff the next day. They told me I was waiting 2 minutes which was not true, they then didn’t say sorry. They were mean and hostile towards me. They made me feel uncomfortable for complaining and both changed and got really mean towards me. I decided to leave and go somewhere else as I had a flight the next day at 6am and didn’t want to miss it if the door was not answered. They said they would not refund me for my last night and I said that’s their decision but not good customer service. It feels like a weird environment, I sat down on a table the first day and the owner told me I can’t sit there as she is having all her friends over this evening. It was hours before they arrived, it was just to be mean she said this. It’s in a dodgy area, which is about 20 minutes walk to the centre and longer to the attractions. There were not many people there and there was no vibe / social element. There were just people remotely working. They had no activities that could offer and they told me not to bother exploring as the attractions are very crowded. Probably one of the worst hostels I have ever stayed in and I don’t recommend.
