We had a family vacation in November 2023. We took a two-room suite. Among the advantages: 1) good location, 2) room with a view of the Volga, 3) comfortable double bed. 4) good bed linen 5) good breakfast, quite varied, with live music Among the shortcomings: 1) poor cleaning: we entered the room and immediately noticed someone else’s toothpick on the floor. Okay, the maid didn't notice, it happens. So we had this toothpick for the entire 4 days of our stay. Why do I see her, but the person who cleans the room doesn’t?! And in general the cleaning is very so-so. Well, thank you, at least they changed the towels. 2) “tired” numbers. The furniture, carpets and plumbing are not even second best. 3) problems with sockets. You won't be able to charge your phone while lying on the bed, since the outlet is a fair distance from the bed. You have to choose so much: either you charge your phone, or use the bedside lighting, because there is only one socket for them))) in general, the bedroom lighting is bad: only a dim bedside light and a crappy lamp on the dressing table. There isn't even a floor lamp. 4) VERY bad restaurant. Open until 11 p.m. We arrived at night, hungry, and couldn’t even buy sandwiches. We have never encountered such a thing that it was impossible to eat anything at night in the “five”. We went to bed hungry. The next day we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. They took a salad with beef, steak, fish soup, aperoli and something else, I don’t remember. Of all the above, only aperoli were edible). The steak is just terrible. Obviously the meat is not what is stated, the roast is “sole”, it is not chewable, although they asked for medium. The salad is simply tasteless. Ukha is a watery liquid with almost no fish. Are you serious?! We paid more for this “dinner” than for lunch at the Almond restaurant (an awesome place by the way). The kitchen in the "five" should not be at this level. There weren't even nuts to go with the beer. Only chips of an unknown brand, the taste is very mediocre. Something needs to be done about the kitchen in this hotel. We travel a lot, and no city has ever had such a problem restaurant where there is really nothing to eat. By the way, there is also nowhere to eat near the hotel and no shops. One Georgian restaurant, poor. Try to eat in advance in the center before returning to the hotel. You can only drink there. There is a large swimming pool and spa, but I can’t tell you about it, we didn’t use it. In general, you can stay here, but don’t expect much)
