Villamena

I stayed at Villamena for 5 nights in June for my wedding. Our 28 guests were very comfortable and could not stop raving about how incredible the accomodation and view was. The venue sorted everything for us and made the process as easy as possible. We included a welcome BBQ dinner, cooking class and pizza party by the pool in our booking. Everyone agreed the food was amazing but I wish there had been more involvement in the cooking class as we only made the gnocchi and didn’t see the sauce being made. We loved our time here and thank Simona and Raffaella for all their help throughout our stay. Even though we never saw the venue before the stay because we live in Australia, we were able to video call and have any questions answered quickly. I would highly recommend Villamena as a place to stay or have a wedding.

Villa Mena is a beautiful and idyllic wedding venue which offered comfortable accommodation for all our guests, the most beautiful views on the amazing region of Umbria, and a great variety of terraces and other places to hold meals and party’s throughout the weekend. Raffaela who owns the place is very enthusiastic, proud, kind and caring. And Simona was the best helping us planning our wedding. Communication was good, prices were fair, and anything we wanted could be arranged. They work with a very good suppliers (hairdresser, make-up artist, florist, baker) and their cooks made traditional cuisine which was delicious and served by the most kind and caring staff. They really think with you and go the extra mile to make you comfortable. For example, they offered to change the location for lunch to the pool which was amazing since everybody was relaxing there. Our wedding weekend was relaxed, comfortable, beautiful and filled with love, kindness and amazing parties. Thanks a lot!

Where to even begin with writing this review. To put it simply, Raffaella and Simona gave us the most incredible, unforgettable wedding we could have ever imagined. From the pizza party the night before, the bbq the day after, and of course everything on the wedding day, there are no words to describe how magical our stay was. Everyone was made to feel so welcome from the second they arrived, every ask and request was catered for including all dietary requirements. Staff were so friendly, and wanted to make everything perfect for us. The rooms were immaculate and so comfy, we couldn’t fault a single thing. Our flowers, table settings, food, drinks, I could go on and on. Everything was just stunning. There was so much space for all our family, with the pool, the football pitch, the surrounding gardens - there was something for everyone. And we can’t forget to mention the view, it was breathtaking. I have no doubt we’ll be returning at some point, maybe for a vow renewal. We can’t thank you enough for giving us the most special few days, we will never be able to stop talking about it! The pictures will never do this place justice, but hopefully you can see for yourself just how beautiful it is. All we can say is, if you are on the fence about booking Villamena for your wedding, don’t think anymore about it, just do it. You will have the most spectacular time, I couldn’t speak more highly of Villamena and everyone who works there, we are so grateful. So much love, Teigan & Joshua xxx

My husband (Belgian) and I (American) just celebrated the most amazing 3 day wedding weekend with about 80 guests. We currently live in Denmark and therefore needed a space where all of our friends and family (from multiple coutries countries) could easliy gather and enjoy a long weekend together. We almost all stayed at Villamena or nearby at Sole Luna and Nizzi. The weekend was perfect! The venue was even more beautiful than we had imagined (we didn't see it before) and our guests kept asking how we found such a wonderful space. The meals were all delicious and Rafaella and Simona always know whats best to do- trust them. The drinks and bar were flowing all weekend, big thank you to the staff for all of your hard work! We had so much fun dancing until past 3am! We had a gelato cart come on our "recovery day/ pool party" which was a big hit among guests- highly recommend! We couldn't ask for a better way to celebrate our marriage, thank you Villamena for such wonderful memories! Addl: Our guests loved visiting Assisi too- no one had really heard of it before and thought it looked like a postcard

My now husband and I chose the beautiful Villamena location as the backdrop of our intimate wedding (where we were joined by our 40 family members and friends) and have absolutely no regrets! Despite not having seen the venue where we would be holding the wedding in-person, Raffaella (the owner and wedding coordinator) and Simona were completely transparent throughout all our communication and made us feel so reassured and confident in our decision. We cannot thank them enough for being so communicative, handling all the wedding details, and for creating the wedding of our dreams. We were a little iffy about planning a destination wedding in a place we had never visited before, but the villa was just as Raffaella described (and even more magical in-person!). Raffaella answered our many, many questions with such kindness and reassurance, and every day made sure that we and our family and friends were comfortable and had everything we needed. She coordinated our taxis for us each day, gave wonderful local recommendations, and was always available to tend to our needs. We, as well as our guests, adore her :) Not to mention, the villa is absolutely stunning. The grounds are beautiful to walk around, the scenery is breathtaking and the pool was such a scenic and relaxing place to rest. We had a few more guests at our wedding than there were rooms at Villamena, but there is a sister hotel within walking distance that made it easy for those guests to hang out at Villamena whenever they pleased. Wedding days can be stressful, especially when it's your own, but our wedding day was incredible. The ceremony that Raffaella officiated warmed our hearts, all the food was delicious, the staff was so kind and on top of everything, and all the details were taken care of so that we could just focus on enjoying our special day. Our four days at Villamena are ones we will cherish forever. We definitely plan to come back to visit Villamena in the future and can't wait for when that day comes! Grazzi mile!

We had our wedding at Villamena in July and it was better than we ever imagined! Rafaella, Simona and all of the staff were amazing and made our 3 days with all our friends and family more than we could have wished for. We booked the venue without seeing it, and it was a risk worth taking as everything was perfect. Even though the rain set in for some of the time we were there, we were confident that Rafaella and Simona would still make our wedding the best it could be - and they did. The flowers, food, scenery, accommodation, pool, the villamena cocktail and staff were some of the highlights for us. Thank you to all of the team. We wish we could do it all over again!
