Although we arrived a little early, we were able to check in without any problems. The staff were very friendly, from welcoming us to showing us to our room. The food also used plenty of local ingredients, and the vegetables from their own farm were especially delicious.
The staff seemed to be foreigners, but they spoke fluent Japanese and were very friendly, which I thought was wonderful.

The location is a bit out of the way. From JR Aso Station, you can take a bus and get off at Uchimaki Station (about 20 minutes) and then walk for five minutes to get there.
The surrounding environment of the hotel is very quiet, surrounded by countryside, the interior decoration is exquisite, and the rooms are very comfortable. There is a small courtyard landscape in the middle, which is very suitable for sitting on a chair and dazing.
There is a family hot spring available for use. The hotel's meals are mostly Kumamoto's local cuisine, which is very suitable to my taste.
The service attitude is very good. There is only one Nepali guy who can speak English, but the service attitude is really warm and impressive.

I arrived by car. It is best to book a hotel and check in first. The room is big enough. Only the toilet and bathroom are in the bathhouse. The staff communicates in limited English. I appreciate it👍🏻

It’s impossible to expect direct train or public transportation access to a high-end traditional hot spring ryokan in the tranquil mountains of Aso! It is only suitable for people traveling by car. It only takes 4 minutes to drive to the nearest convenience store.
The service was so good that I couldn't ask for more. They were very kind and the waiters could communicate in simple English. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and served in a private room. Originally, there was Wagyu beef and horse sashimi, but since we didn't eat them, we explained when we checked in that the waiters worked hard to help us communicate with the chef and changed it to duck and sashimi.
The room is very large, and the TV is a large-sized Sony smart TV that has been released in recent years. The Wifi is stable. You can stay in the room to soak in the hot springs, lie on the sofa and watch YouTube without worrying about having nothing to do at night.
There are only 7 rooms in the entire hotel, so there are not many guests. The room already has an independent hot spring bath, and you can also use the large bath (indoor and outdoor) at night. You can also use 5 independent hot spring baths, so it is very refreshing!
If I have a chance to stop by Aso next time, I will definitely come again!
