湯浴み着の着用の要不要や男女入れ替え時間帯などの風呂のルールがかなり煩雑なので丁寧な説明が必要だが、過去にも指摘している人がいるように、コミュニケーションに問題のある受付の人が、早口で、人の目も見ず、バーっと一気に話すので頭にはいらない。 私の前にいた老齢のご夫婦が、あの説明ぜんぜんわからなかったねえ、と嘆きながら去るのをみて、私もですよ、と声をかけたほど。 建物が古いのは風情ともとれるが、二階の廊下に強い異臭。また、一階も二階も廊下のトイレが全て壊れたままで使用停止のまま。異臭とも関連か？ 食堂では外国人の若者も働くが、ベトナムから来たばかりの学生で、彼らも申し訳無さそうで気の毒だが、ごく簡単な日本語もわからない。食堂には日本人のおばちゃんもいるが、彼らに手を差し伸べない。 食事に関しは全くなんの解説もないのも驚く。（普通の宿はくどいくらい説明しますよね。）ナニを食べたかよくわからない。 一方で隣接して宿とは対象的な小綺麗な経営者住居あり、テスラなど高級車が並ぶ。そのカネを少し設備や人件費に回したら良いと思う。 経営にホスピタリティの気持ちが薄いのだろう。したがって従業員もそんなひとが集まるし、教育することもできないのではないか。 お湯は良いだけに残念だった。 お湯は直せなくても経営はなおせる。もったいないので気持ちを改めて立て直して欲しい。

芽登温泉にある一軒宿。日本秘湯の会の会員宿。日帰りで利用させていただきました。11時から利用可で、混浴露天巨石の湯は11時から12時まで男性専用になっています。ほかに内湯と露天風呂があります。単純アルカリ泉ですが、旧硫黄泉です。巨石の湯が川ぞいにあり、自然と一体感があります。入浴料700円。

送迎サービスが宿泊料金4万円以上が条件なので、十畳二間ツインベッドの客室に宿泊。ベットや座椅子はよいが、アメニティは貧弱でコップは紙、ネットの接続も悪かった。 混浴の湯あみ着の貸し出しの手間以外、温泉は評判通り素晴らしく、混浴露天風呂からの眺望はまさに最高で、朝夕に源泉かけ流しの湯を貸し切りで堪能できた。 また食事も秘湯の宿と思えぬ北海道の幸満載で美味しかった。最後に送迎の際いろいろなお話が聞けたことに感謝。
