We arranged a private party for around 100 people with Jane at the Dartmoor lodge. The staff really listened to what we wanted and supplied a buffet for our event. Everyone really enjoyed the night and the food! The staff were amazing and so helpful. Our DJ found the staff really helpful too. We had food left over it was plenty! We highly recommend the Dartmoor lodge especially for parties or wedding’s it’s a great venue with good food and lovely staff. Thank you so much Jane & Emma & Staff!!!

Beautiful newly renovated rooms, in a beautiful setting. Very friendly staff and delicious dinner and breakfast. Couldn't have asked for a better stop and will definitely return. Thank you.

Stopped outside the little lodge part of the Dartmoor lodge as sign posted from the main A road its directs you to services . The women was very rude to our Canadian guest as she went to ask to fill her water bottle up , she said we had used there toilets eaten our own sandwiches by our car and put my car reg in the iPad as otherwise it’s a complete rip off with a £100 charge for popping in ? Why as there is nothing around there to park for longer that an hour any way. After being there 20 mins she verbally abused our Canadian guest and upsetting her and considering that’s there first ever visit to Devon then it didn’t go down well , a great greeting . Maybe in future put some signs up saying it’s not a services and if we were in the wrong then come down and mention something straight away instead of waiting so long and then abusing a lone woman . A terrible place Avoid this rubbish place and there not friendly Devon welcoming

Another stay with Jane and her team of the friendliest and most helpful staff. The hotel is in the middle of a major refurbishment yet the team remain focussed on providing excellent cuisine and comfort. We'll be back again in September for another enjoyable stay.

I stayed at the Dartmoor Lodge Hotel last week. The hotel is newly refurbished, with the final rooms due to be completed shortly. The new rooms are very comfortable, with lovely beds/pillows/linen. There are some nice touches, like the coffee pod machines, ultra fast internet and smart tvs. Although I use the hotel for work purposes, it’s in a great location (close to A38 and within walking distance of the town). The staff are attentive/engaging and the food is great. On this basis, I would wholeheartedly recommend it to you.

Such a lovely hotel, the staff were super helpful and kind, and the food was just fantastic. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Overall the hotel had a real family atmosphere and I can’t wait to stay again! Merry Christmas to you all

Fabulous stay could not fault it spent one night as was going to a wedding at the lavender house hotel which is only a 10 minute walk away . Check in easy friendly room spotlessly clean and breakfast one of the best ive had in a hotel! If you need a hotel in the area trythe Dartmoor lodge! You wont be dissapointed

Lovely little place packed Sunday carvery not sure what that Rodney fella is on a bout funnily enough he reviewed quite a few places that same day and opted for a branded chain pub with over 300 pubs nationwide which means they get better prices on beer an food nice and classy , Dartmoor lodge is a solo business recently took over a couple of years ago by a new owner try to improve the lodges offering better standard of food at good affordable prices again no cheap pre cooked garbage at green kings…. So much for supporting local businesses… you can’t buy class I suppose but Dartmoor lodge is a beautiful venue offering the best local home cooked food they can.
