Met friends here for dinner whilst on holiday in the Peak District. Food is available all day which is a great when you are out and about. Really delicious steak and salmon, well presented and good value. Returned on the Sunday for lunch for just two - quite late for lunch, 4.30pm but food was still really fresh and well presented. Lovely garden, dogs allowed in bar and garden area. Staff efficient and helpful. Plenty of parking.

Stayed here for the first time although passed many times. Had a two night stay and can honestly say that all the staff were friendly and helpful. But I want to say an extra thank you to the young lady at breakfast time. She always had a smile and gave us lots of advice for places to visit. As far as the hotel is concerned we were very happy with the conditions and our room (3). Had a nice view over the gardens. Breakfast and other meals were very good and reasonably priced. The bed in our room had a softer mattress than what we are used to but understand you can’t cater for everyone where this is concerned. Would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again if in that area. So much so we are considering buying a gift voucher for our daughter for something to look forward to.

Dined in restaurant, menu really varied and good value. Asked for curry a bit hotter and it was perfect. Wife's steak cooked to perfection, and chips amazing! We will be back.

Just had an amazing 2 night break at this fantastic hotel. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. Ate breakfast and dinner on both day. The food was delicious hot and very keenly priced with an extensive menu. Can't wait to return. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had 2 nights at this fabulous hotel, the staff are extremely pleasant, polite and very hard working, we were in room 9 and it was very comfortable spotlessly clean and a really good shower, We ate here for breakfast and 2 evening meals , the breakfast is more than substantial, and the evening meals were excellent and very keenly priced. We have no hesitation in recommending this establishment and we will return. Ed and Gill

Visited the Bentley Brook for our wedding anniversary. Had amazing weather which only complimented the venue and its amazing setting. Paul and the staff were friendly and attentive from start to finish. The food was delicious - we had the carvery which was fresh and plentiful. Almost didn’t have room for the lemon curd cake but glad we did! Definitely a venue we will be visiting again and one we would recommend to anyone visiting the area

Just had a great 2 night break at this charming Inn. Alison and Paul are very welcoming and all of the staff are friendly and efficient. Our room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. There's a well stocked bar with a good range of very well kept ales. Food was excellent, great menu, reasonably priced and large portions. Breakfast was delicious. Already booked a return visit!

Thank you Alison and Paul for your wonderful hospitality. You and your staff went the extra mile to make us feel very welcome. We had Room 4 with a super comfortable bed and the pillows were so soft. We arrived feeling very stressed out after a frustrating flight but left feeling so relaxed. The event for Samantha and Graham was well organized and we had a great time. We are now back in Gibraltar and hope that we can visit again in the future.

The hotel is very basic but that was to be expected. Unfortunately we didn’t have a great stay. The sound proofing is very poor. We regret to say that this establishment fell short of expectations. Despite the hype, the dining experience was disappointing. To add to our disappointment, the food didn't sit well with any of us, resulting in stomachaches and sickness throughout the night. This entire experience left us questioning the value of our meal and stay and when all we’ve done is be sick all night. It seems like a waste of money!!!! I would avoid.
