My partner and I visited this hotel for a spa day as it was his birthday. It really was a day to remember! We turned up at midday after a leisurely morning, the spa reception staff were really friendly and answered all my questions with a smile. We were given our robes, slippers and towels and shown around the spa. We were given a key card and instructions on how to use it and off we went! We found a lounger outside, there were plenty available and sat in the sun, we then decided to take a dip in the outside hydro pool which was lovely and warm. Following that we decided to take a swim in the pool and dry off in the sun. We had access to tea, coffee and ice water whenever we needed. At 2pm we had the most amazing afternoon tea which was the perfect amount for the two of us. After that we went to use the spa facilities, we sat in the aroma steam room, followed my the igloo room and then the experience shower and dried off on the thermal beds. Finally after going to have a snooze in the sun we had our treatments of massage and facial. My therapist was called Kat and honestly she was brilliant, she applied the perfect pressure and got rid of every knot in my back and shoulders, she was informative, super friendly and so good at what she does, she even offered me a booklet wih all the products she used on my face. After that it was time to head home, I rarely write reviews but this one needed a mention, well done to everyone of the spa team, we will definitely be returning!

I had to step on a small cockroach in the bathroom of my room. The toilet seat was loose and slid off the loo when I sat on it. I fixed it, which was unpleasant but fairly easy. Next day after the room had been cleaned, it was broken again. Clearly the cleaner knows but they don't bother to fix it. Everything seems a bit too much trouble for the staff. Do you have any crisps? No Sir, laughing gently to himself, we sold out. Next day? Same response. The nights I stayed coincided with two large functions. One looked like a company party, the second was a wedding. Consequently, there was no furniture in most of the public places. The bar had eight chairs available for all the guests in the hotel who were not part of the function. Two lagers on draught. One ran out. Wasn't replaced - again, the gently laughing man seemed to think that was a risible request. Breakfast - the less said the better. The food was okay but the problem was the quantity. There was a bowl or grilled tomatoes, some scrambled eggs and three hash browns in bowls, on a buffet. About six hungry people hovering around, waiting for resupply. After five minutes, a few sausages come out. Five minutes later, some bacon. So people load up and leave. Now there are no hash browns, no sausages, no bacon, no mushrooms, no bacon. Five minutes later some hash browns arrives. Seemingly impossible to serve yourself a full breakfast from the buffet if you don't want to wait for 30 minutes. The staff all look 16 years old and have no clue what to do - it doesn't feel fair complaining to them. It's the kitchen that can't keep up. You walk in the hotel and the whole place doesn't smell right - damp, weird, unclean.

It was a good hotel with all the amenities in the hotel. The size of the rooms are pretty small but okay for an individual. best part about the hotel was the location, it is very close to Airport ( you can just hop on the london bus ).

This stay was great , good food, clean room , quiet on a night, comfy bed, the thing that makes this place is the customer service, particular thanks to Aurora-superb stay thank you !

Absolutely amazing place with wonderful view of city and heathrow airport accessible to the bus metro lines..Rooms were clean and trendy but small with no refrigerator and wardrobe but it's OK for us .had amazing time in the lounge with lots of games .breakfast was very good.there are limited option for food .I would highly recommend this place for stay.love this place and definitely stay there again ..Staffs were friendly and helpful. Thannk you moxy for wonderful memories 💖

Ideal work venue, clean with nearby food

We've just had a 2 night stay in the garden lodge. We loved our room, the hotel, restaurant and the location. It was perfect to visit Cliveden House (the purpose of our stay), Hughenden Manor and Marlow. The hotel was apparently taken over in Jan 2024, so is under new management. We think it was the Manager/Owner we spoke to on our first night, who'd also checked us in. He was very friendly and helpful. Our meal in the restaurant was excellent, every course was superb and we loved the ambience. The continental breakfast served during the week was spot on and more than enough to keep us going til lunch. We didn't get to use the pool, but there's a pool bar being built, so this will be a great hotel to use in the warmer months with those 2 facilities. The bed and bedding in the garden lodge was wonderful and very hard to leave! We'll definitely return, possibly with friends next time, as there's lots more to explore nearby. We wanted a mini break for my family. The hotel is absolutely stunning,great facilities,restaurants.bar,spa .Grounds Ellie greeted us on arrival & showed us round .Such a lovely greeting made us feel very welcome.All the staff are very friendly & they make sure everything is perfect throughout your stay .Our food in moorish restaurant was again excellent.Staff gave us great service,making sure we had all we needed.The buffet is a great addition.All the food was absolutely delicious & very tasty. The spa experience was out of this world.Mia & jas showed us round & pointed us in the right directions for interior pool ,jacuzzi,sauna,steam room,outside pool . We also each had a full body massage.I have to say that was the best massage I’ve ever had .Great communication on needs ,right pressure.A definite must to de stress your body.Afterwards we relaxed in the Himalayan salt room .If your looking for a excellent hotel to stay in .You definitely won’t be disappointed. It doesn't take much to send your bar staff on a cocktail course and buy a ice crusher to make a margharita. Please don't advertise it if it can't be made. Very expensive too considering it tasted of soap and had big chunks of ice floating in it and a slice of lemon and not lime. I chose to stay for two nights as a destination hotel rather than 'just a hotel near the airport' so I suppose you could label a 'service' hotel but I have felt after being here for one day and one more night to go, it is not a place where people want to create or make relationships as I have felt it being rather a 'no' environment. I have done my best to be friendly but felt a little bit like more of a nuisance for wanting to create more relationships as a solo traveller especially when at 10 staff started to clear breakfast before I was even finished at 10.30 and then looked at a plate I had taken with me to my room as if to say 'you shouldn't be taking that' when it felt too uncomfortable to finish it in the main room. I may be unusual in my longer stay but I have still paid and a good customer and travel and stay in hotels a lot. The price is a good deal but that should still reflect good service. There should also be instructions on how to work the tv as I couldn't and then I met two ladies who had sat in the lounge for 4 hrs because they also couldn't work it so I helped them out. I train staff in friendliness and not saying they weren't but in my opinion, their needs to be a bit more approachability for a hotel near a major London airport with such incredible facilities such as a roof terrace overlooking the runway. It feels a bit like it has been forgotten and just left to be as it is as a very small part of the large Thistle Hotel Chain.
