It was a little difficult to drag the suitcase onto the snow-covered sidewalk on a snowy day. Other than that it was really good. I plan to visit again next time I go to Asahikawa.

Accommodation for family. The meal is a better impression than the price in the morning and evening. The hotel itself is very similar to other big spa hotels we stayed in, reasonably comfortable rooms, big buffet meals, but the quality of the food was so so, but the highlight of the place was the onsen, with about 10 inside pools and a nice outside jacuzzi. I guess that was the big attraction for all the tourist groups.

I’m very surprised by the relatively low rating of this hotel. We had a very good experience here, and found the room to be spacious and comfortable (though fairly typical old-school Japanese hotel). Service was good overall and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in the best part of Asahikawa, near the main train station and the very cool and fun shopping street. The hotel also has an outdoor parking lot located immediately behind the hotel. Our only hiccup was that we arrived slightly before the 1500 check in time (we arrived at 1440) and were told we had to wait until exactly 1500 to check in. This is Japan and I appreciate being a stickler for the rules, but sometimes good customer service is about making calculated exceptions. Maybe next time. We would certainly recommend this place to others.
