We stayed overnight before our safari and rebooked for 2 nights after the safari. Just a short walk from the Clocktower, the hotel is located centrally with easy access to cafes, restaurants and shops. Not a huge hotel but the rooms are spacious and kept clean and tidy by the really helpful staff.No aircon but we travelled in September so wasn’t too hot. Décor and furniture is a little dated but functional so could do with a refurbishment. Bathroom was clean with new towels daily. In-house restaurant had a good selection of food and the breakfast had the usual continental, cereals and cooked options with tea, coffee and juices. All in all a very nice 3* stay in a great location.

We had a very pleasant stay at the equator hotel: The room with a balcony facing the beautiful park was spacious, clean and quiet. Coming back to the hotel after walking around in the city always felt like arriving at an oasis. The manager John and his staff were always very friendly and helpful. The Indian food at the restaurant was good - as for breakfast, there is still some room for improvement. If we come back to Arusha, we will definitely be staying at the Equator Hotel again!

Very nice, clean hotel centrally located in Arusha. It is walking distance to the clock tower along with many stores and restaurants including the Masai market. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good with a well stocked bar and a huge menu of Indian and continental options. Would definitely recommend this hotel while staying in Arusha.

This hotel is very well located and secure in the city center of Arusha. The garden is well maintained. The staff is welcoming. However, the hotel would deserve a complete renovation in order to give this place its full potential. The cuisine is very varied and tasty, especially the Indian dishes, but be careful to order well in advance.....
