Super friendly and sweet staff helped us with a day trip plan at the last minute. They also picked us up at the airport and arranged our transfer to Kilimanjaro.

We had a great one-night stay at the African Tulip! The staff were very welcoming, and the room had everything we needed (air conditioning, a big water cooler with cold and hot taps of clean water, lots of power outlets). A particular highlight is the food. We really enjoyed the chicken soup and the fish served at dinner. Excellent home-y and delicious cooking!

We stayed here arriving from Ariana before heading to safari. An excellent Choice . Rooms are spacious and clean, beds comfortable. Small pool but nice to cool off, in the mids of well maintained small lush garden .But most importantly the staff is very friendly !

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the African Tulip. It was our first accommodation arriving in Tanzania. We found the staff warm and welcoming. The accommodations were perfect and the cuisine in the restaurant delicious. Highly recommend!

I loved the hotel and the people there so much. Everyone was friendly and outgoing, I felt right at home after several long flights. The food was good and the best part was meeting Benjamin after emailing back and forth for a couple months, it was like meeting a new friend. I will definitely stay again when I'm in Arusha.

I am writing a 5 star review before even stepping on the property. The reason being is that I booked through Benjamin. And Benjamin did an amazing job of taking care of me as I booked a room. Benjamin took a full half hour to video walk me through the property and show me a few of the rooms, the pool area, the restaurant, etc. The place is beautiful by the way. Rarely do you get this kind of service, especially for something as simple as a booking. It truly helped in my decision process of which accommodation to choose. Well done! Truly looking forward to seeing the property in person.

Family of 4 (kids age 14 and 10) stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of our safari. This allowed us to get over jet lag with a first day of low key activities in Arusha, then a day at Arusha NP and Ngiresi village. When we arrived at 11pm, they offered to make us dinner even though the restaurant had long been closed. The first of so many examples of excellent service we encountered in Tanzania. We appreciated the offer but were ready for sleep 😊 When we did finally eat, breakfast and dinner buffets were good, and they packed very nice boxed lunches for our day in Arusha NP. Our stay was very comfortable; hotel was very clean, with nice furnishings and decor. Wi-Fi was reliable throughout. At the end of our trip, we also stayed for a few hours in “day rooms” while in transit to our homebound flight. Our safari was with Roy Safaris, who owns this hotel – we found them to be a very well run operation, with people who care about the business providing friendly service. We would happily stay here again.

The African Tulip hotel was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and kind. We went to Tanzania for our honeymoon and they had our room decorated with rose petals and really spoiled us for our stay. The restaurant in the hotel was amazing and they were able to arrange drivers for us to explore the city of Arusha. Would highly recommend staying at the African Tulip for your time in Arusha!

Great location in Arusha. Clean and spacious rooms. Welcoming and friendly staff. Buffet had multiple options but we preferred ordering from the menu. Felt very safe and comfortable
