Visiting for a family Christmas and this is truly a little gem in the heart of Sussex. The food is amazing, with the Christmas dinner being absolutely fabulous. The staff are wonderful, making this such a special time and a home from from home. David & Kay are superb hosts, working tirelessly to ensure we are all having the best possible family holiday. We will definitely return in 2025!

We arrived Xmas eve ! There was 7 of us staying and we booked for 3 nights including breakfast. The rest of our family were joing for Xmas day lunch , then a buffet for 20 people on boxing day, where additional family and friends will be joining. Oh we also brought Charlie our springer. I really don't know where to start ..... kay & David the owners were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble! All her staff were fantastic, especially Wendy who I arranged the original booking with , she made sure our Xmas day was perfect ! There were carol singers Xmas Eve , Amazing! Xmas day lunch was fantastic ! Breakfast ( with award winning black pudding) absolutely delicious! Even our dog got a special sausage for breakfast. There are so many good things to say about Findon manor, for me the team that own and work here made it special ! All their hard work and dedication make it what it is ! You are all amazing and thank you so much from all our family ! We wish you all a happy new year ! You helped us make some wonderful memories !

As it was time for the workplace Christmas meal, this year one of my colleagues suggested Findon Manor as it was central to most of us. Even though I was furthest out (at an hour's drive away), it was well worth the effort. Before we booked, I contacted the venue and they were very helpful with suggesting the vegan options for the 3 main courses so I was on board with that and voiced my approval for this choice for our meal. The venue itself is in the quiet village of Findon, not too far from Worthing, and is a charming building with a refined interior design. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and we really felt luxuriously attended to. The whole place is clean and tidy, with fireside seating and various corners to recline and relax in. Now on to the food, which was also a 5 star experience! The starter (pumpkin veloute with wild mushrooms and truffle) was delicious and very filling, so when it came to the main course (nut roast Wellington for me), I should probably have held back from the extra portion of festive veg but the Brussel sprouts were too moreish so I ended up eating more than I should, because it was so nice! Other options included locally caught sea bass, Sussex raised turkey, and venison steak. The kitchen make an effort to promote local suppliers and farmers, and it pays off in the taste and of course the skills of the head chef and his team. Dessert was thankfully a lot smaller (poached pear for the vegans) because I was struggling to eat any more. Then the coffees came out and I was grateful for those, especially given the imminent drive back. But then the cheeseboard came out! I thought I'd escaped having to delight my taste buds and strain my belly even further but I was thoughtfully provided with a vegan board of my own, with a greek style slab and a few slices of cheddar alternative, together with a locally made onion chutney and crackers/biscuits. So of course I made the effort and it was well worth taking that chance. In all, a very satisfying evening and I'll certainly be tempted to come back with the family to try the regular menu after the festive season is over. It's a bit of a trek for us though, so we might take advantage of the fact that this is a hotel as well. Especially if we can relax in the lounge with a nightcap after a meal as delicious as this one. With a total of £35 per person plus 12.5% service charge, this was very good value for money given the quality and quantity of food included. So much so that I willingly contributed a cash tip on top, as I enjoyed the experience that much! Well done to everyone at the Findon Manor restaurant for making us all feel welcome and for the very satisfied bellies we all rolled out with.

A little disappointed, hotel not up to what you would for a Manor. Hotel is tired and needs a bit of TLC. Our sink had a crack and chip that had been badly filled. The glass shelf had not been replaced making it difficult to use as nowhere to put anything down. No thermostat in room, heating went off at night. Mildew round window panes. Dead flies.

Lovely little hotel, spacious bedroom with a really comfy bed. Good breakfasts. Snooty Fox is a friendly locals bar, good bar snacks available. Staff were all very attentive, even on a busy afternoon with two small functions to attend to.Plenty of parking and lovey woody gardens.

Freezing cold room with cobwebs and un vacuumed floor, ensuite had a mastic repaired sink , a hand painted mess in the bath due to a broken bath, the shower trickled freezing cold or boiling hot. The breakfast was less than appealing with forgetful staff messing up the order, not returning to ask if all was OK, no hot drinks refilled. We were locked out at night as the staff forgot to tell us there was a night code for the door. The main areas were cold, smelly unloved messy and dirty

Afternoon Tea Having visited last year and had a wonderful afternoon tea using a Wowcher voucher we decided to take advantage of this years Wowcher offer of a Prosecco afternoon tea at the hotel Well what a disappointment after last years amazing tea The sandwiches where probably the only full sized offering on the stand - the scones ( 2 savoury with no butter offered and 2 plain with jam and cream) where one bite size literally and the cakes where also one bite sized I had actually expected a second stand to arrive with duplicate offerings when I had seen the first stand as there was really only just enough for one person! The Prosecco saved the afternoon but even the surroundings of a plain table with no table cloth and being put in a dark corner of the back room didn’t help with the experience I appreciate it was a half price deal but after last year ( which was also a half price deal ) it was extremely poor and if reflective of there current offering then I would avoid even at half price!

I came with a couple of friends for afternoon tea. Wanted to return as the afternoon tea we had had a couple of years back was delicious. We unfortunately left very disappointed. The service and food was lovely but the afternoon tea was not to the standard from our previous visit with serious cutbacks. There were some finger sandwiches, a tiny fruit scone with a small pot of jam and cream and a tiny cheese and chive scone each. We each had a small quiche. The three desserts were also miniscule, being a two bite sized cheesecake and Bakewell tart and a slightly larger chocolate brownie. Everything was delicious but even with a wowcher voucher it certainly did not justify the amount paid.. Don't think we will be coming back unfortunately.
