Findon Rest Ltd

I have not been anywhere this unpleasant since my son left his university shared house! It had por facilities, was very cheaply and poorly furnished and not clean. (the bathroom and bed were clean which is why I stayed ) there is no host, you collect your key from a box next to the room, and peremptory notes from the owner which do not generate any sort of welcome. I will never stay here again and don't recommend you do either !

If you need a place to stay over in Findon and, like us, find other places are booked up, then this will do. It's just a little average. Our room, not sure about the one our kids had, but our room just smelt of damp, like seriously smelt of damp. The wood under the door was rotting, so i'm guessing they have a damp issue? The decor in the rooms we had needs serious updating and decorating. But if you need to stay over in Findon, it'll do. Not awful, not great either.

We stayed at findon rest for four nights whilst visiting family in the area. The room was really cosy and warm, had everything we needed and the owners were always on hand if required. The surrounding location is stunning with good walks and a couple of great pubs in the village. Would highly recommend👍

This was perfect for a two night stop over. We had everything we needed in a clean, warm, comfortable room. The area is quiet. There is a cafe nearby. We found it to be ideal and will book again in the future.

The good: Easy contactless check in with clear instructions to obtaining keys. Quiet village location was ideal for the local sports event we were attending. Plenty of roadside parking. Room for improvement: The mattress was low quality- we kept rolling together in the middle dip and the pillows were lumpy. General attention to details like dirty finger prints on the backs of doors, empty drinks cans & DIY materials in entrance, loud mininfridge, damp marks on the blinds, upcycled furniture with marks/chips etc are quick fixes that didnt impact our stay but overall made the place feel a little tired.

Booked two nights to attend a family wedding On arrival the toilet seat was broken. This was reported by text, but nobody replied as it is a staffless site. Bathroom (if you can call it a room) had dirty floors, the sink plug didn’t work and the tap was not easy to use. Plus a point the shower worked fine. Mould on the wall behind the sofa. Generally tired and worn out thick dust in the bed frame, in case you wondered what the picture is about Room was not replenished with tea, coffee or milk, so we used both the teabags provided🙁 and then supplied our own . Bed went unmade despite this being a selling point Room was small and difficult for two people to maneuver when getting ready for the wedding. There are no hooks or wardrobe provided to hang clothes so they had to be left in the car to hang. Would not recommend 🙁🙁🙁
