We really enjoyed our stay at this family run hotel. The hotel is peaceful and a short walk from the centre of Artemonas. From there you can walk down to Apolonia on a lovely walkway through the white island houses or you can catch the bus down to the different parts of the island. The owner was great, friendly and had a good sense of humor, which made us feel right at home from the start. The rooms were simple, very clean, and well-kept, exactly what we needed. What also really stood out, was the restaurant downstairs run by the same owner with family cooked Greek dishes. Hands down, some of the best food we had during our time on Sifnos. If you’re looking for a quiet, comfortable base with excellent food and warm hospitality, this place is definitely worth considering.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Artemon. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of this lovely family-run hotel made us feel completely at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable with thoughtful details that show how much care the family puts into everything. The location is perfect—peaceful yet just a short walk to the center of Apollonia, making it easy to explore the beautiful island of Sifnos. The family running it are incredibly welcoming, kind, and always happy to help with anything you might need. Highly recommended!

Hot water often running out- No ventilation in bathroom (No window or extractor fan) leaving the bathroom misty after taking a shower and leaving it smelly after using the loo. Virtually no fridge let alone cooking utensils, making a basic task such as hard cooling bottles of water or boiling an egg , extremely difficult. No sponge to clean any dishes, not even glasses to drink water! Although the view of the balcony was adequately satisfying and pleasant the sense of odor couldn’t let anyone enjoy that as there was garbage fumes all over the place probably a dump was nearby! Staff moody all the time especially during the breakfast time- a breakfast during which there is not a buffet or even a mini variety to look at and choose from, no! One plate is served every single day with one piece of petit four filled with marmalade and portions packed honey / two slices of bread / filter coffee or tea. If you ask for anything supplementary or substitute they get moody. All the pictures of the rooms online were not the real ones so everyone be careful and aware of that!

my friends and i were lucky to stay close by to this amazing restaurant! we came three times so that every new guest could try it. the family is so so sweet and has a serious talent for cooking. will probably be back before we leave ❤️

The Hotel and Restaurant are run by the Lembessis', a lovely, hospitable family, with a talent for cooking and a passion for history and a common family name on Sifnos. The location of the hotel is ideal, just outside the main square and bus stop of Artemonas, a charming village infused by floral scents and exquisite architecture that breathes of a former aristocracy. The restaurant had a selection of authentic local dishes, many of which are cooked in the customary clay pot that can be purchased in some of the pottery shops scattered all over the island. I ate dinner there each night of my stay which is a first for me. I rarely go to the same place twice when I travel but I knew I had discovered something original, fresh, authentic and tasty. The room was comfortable and very clean. The hosts were generous with their time and attention and recommendations of places to visit and hike. Sifnos is an ideal island for spring hiking, and especially for solo travelers.

Merci aussi pour toutes les explications sur Sifnos, Artemonas et ses environs. Les produits maison servis au restaurant et issus de la productions personnelle sont un plus.

Wunderschönes Familienhotel , authentisch , mit weinlaub bewachsenen Garten , für Frühstück und Abendessen … direkt neben einer Kirche und herrliche Küche. Sehr saubere Zimmer mit Balkon und Bad . Der Garten ist von der Straße abgewandt und dadurch ruhig

Nous sommes restés 4 jours dans cet hôtel familial L'accueil du patron, de sa femme est très chaleureux. Nous avons également mangé au restaurant et tous les produits sont frais et excellents. L'arrêt de bus proche (100m) permet de rayonner facilement sur tout l'île. Je recommande aussi bien l'hôtel que le restaurant.
