Driving down these little streets in an SUV was a challenge. It was our first time abroad and we didn't know what to expect. The countryside was delightful and the town so quaint... but the real reason we were there was to pay tribute to the men who died storming those beaches. That being said, our host and hostess were lovely people. Paul was so informative. The Manoir is a mini museum and both Paul and his wife, Anna Florence were so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were sweet, clean and pretty roomy with full baths. The breakfast (additional cost), was a typical french breakfast and you could chose what you wanted and your table was set ready for you in advance. We were a block from the beach, 1/2 hour to the American Cemetery and the other historical beaches and about 1-1/2 hours to Mont St. Michele. Our time there was wonderful and would recommend staying there again. Au revior

Fabulous guest house - Anne Florence is super friendly and gave us a tour of the memorabilia- imagine having an airplane cockpit in the breakfast room! Off street parking for 3 cars. Great room, tea coffee machine, clean and comfy. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Two thumbs up for this beautifully, charming B&B. The hospitality couldn't have been better! The location couldn't have been better! Arromanches is such a picturesque town. Like something from a storybook. Just steps to the beach and restaurants. Arromanches is a very convenient location to many DDay sights. We highly recommend!

What a beautiful, quirky stay! Florence gave us the warmest of welcomes, the bed was super comfy, with great pillows, and breakfast was generous, with huge portions of local cheese, and home made jam. DDay Aviators, however is so much more than this. Both the bedrooms and public areas are full of tastefully placed WWII memorabilia, including a full cockpit in the breakfast room! Everything was spotlessly clean and dust free, congratulations to Florence and her team for managing this with so many artefacts around! Florence made some great recommendations for places to visit, and booked a lovely restaurant for us.vWe will definitely recommend to friends, and would love to come back ourselves. Merci beaucoup!

The moment we checked in, the proprietress, Anne Florence greeted us with so much warmth and enthusiasm. The reason for our trip was for our father who was a US and Philippine jet fighter pilot, commercial captain and WWII history buff, to experience Normandie. The Manor was very tastefully decorated and the exquisitely designed bedrooms had modern bathrooms . The entire hotel was artfully decorated in WW1 and WW2 aviation artifacts. Wherever you turn there’s a story to be told for each piece you see. My father was completely enthralled by the entire manor and proprietress Anne was more than happy to show my father around and they shared stories about aviation history. The breakfast room was beautiful and light. The continental breakfast was delicious and it included local cheese from Normandy. My father who such high standards was so happy we stayed there. It’s one experience my father will never forget .

My family and I had a fantastic 2-day stay at D-Day Aviators Manoir. My 10-year-old son selected the hotel because of its D-Day aviation memorabilia, which is fantastic and includes the cockpit of a plane in the dining room. But we were pleasantly surprised by the location and accommodations. We were steps away from the remnants of Mulberry Harbor B, the D-Day Museum, the sea, and the shops and restaurants of Arromanches. The location could not have been better. The accommodations also were perfect for a family of four—two bedrooms, a common area, and a large bathroom with a shower, a separate bathtub, and double sinks. There also were two modern tvs with English available, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Most importantly, to me as an American who has encountered some unwelcoming locals on our trip to France, the couple who owns the Manoir are warm and welcoming. As we were leaving, my 8-year-old asked if we could come back to the hotel on a future trip. I definitely will if we visit the Normandy coast in the future. I would give the D-Day Aviators Le Manoir 6 stars if that was an option.

Loved it, really quirky, a bit like staying in a WW2 museum, but really fascinating and very comfortable. Our hoists were charming and really interesting with their knowledge of the war, particularly in this area

The hosts, Anne and Paul, provide the perfect combination of B&B hospitality and an enthusiastic passion for aviation history. We spent 3 days in April, traveling with 2 young teen grandchildren. The two room suite was just right -- twin beds and privacy for them, a queen bed and sitting room area for us, with a spacious bathroom. We had views of the town, and also the DDay landing beach. Many excellent restaurants and museums were within easy walking distance. The breakfast spread was amazing (and we especially appreciated that it was accompanied by WWII era music). The B&B could also serve as a museum -- every room was furnished with antiques and WWII aviation memorabilia. American visitors need to be aware that many (most?) European facilities are not as ADA-friendly as we have come to expect in the states. Our suite was accessed via a beautiful narrow spiral staircase.
