We stayed for two nights in this hotel in Arreau Occitanie. The check in was smooth and the lady was friendly. Our room was really a suite and looked very cute and comfortable. There is a lift to go up and down. The breakfast was okay as there was just one server managing the stations. We had to go an ask for hot water or to replenish the eggs. We had dinner the first night. The salad was very tasty. The Guinea fowl was okay,..a bit sweetish for our taste. The Apple pie was okay and cold. Overall the hotel is very nice with a lovely garden and good service. Rooms are big and clean. They could have given better amenities in the bathroom and had more electrical outlets in the room.

This was the twelfth year that we have stayed at this wonderful hotel. All of our visits have been in July. We like to watch stages of the Tour de France and this is a location that works out well. From our first visit, the gracious owner has made us feel welcomed. The bathrooms are modern and the large bedrooms are well equipped. We have always opted to include the meal plan with our room. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of choices that are always fresh and delicious. After a long day in the Pyrenees, dinner here is a lovely way to spend an evening. The dining room is charming, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food never disappoints. It is a bonus to leave the car parked and relax in one spot. I highly recommend this hotel!

A lovely small hotel in a stunningly beautiful town, with extremely patient, helpful service, pleasant rooms, and a good restaurant. A particular thank-you to Marie-Hélène Aubibon and staff for a warm welcome and attentive service throughout. The outdoor garden-seating area and the pool are an added plus.

One night stay here on our touring holiday of France. Nice welcome from the lady at reception who spoke good English. Nice clean room, bed a little on the firm side for us, would have been nice with a topper pad. Very quiet and we were on a high floor overlooking the garden and slept with the window open as a very hot evening. Elevator, no air conditioning, had tea and coffee in the room. The restaurant was very nice and modern and the young couple serving us from Brazil spoke excellent English and were really helpful and very pleasant. There was a large group of British cyclists staying at the time and the waiter kept apologising for the noise they were making but did not worry us at all, they were not being a nuisance just the fact they were all talking at the same time, was not a problem. The menu was quite limited, I think 3 of each starter, main and dessert, all a La crate but if you had all 3 courses it was €30. It was not fancy french cooking but well presented, and compared to the hotel we stayed in the night before who was trying to be a bit pretentious and charging €40 it was miles better, beautifully cooked lamb and duck confit, fresh and local ingredients, simple and tasty. Very well done. In the morning they offered what looked like an amazing breakfast for I think €14 but they also offered a continental one in the bar for €8 which was great for us, after 3 weeks eating huge buffet breakfasts we really welcomed the change of not “having” to eat too much. Even with the continental it was rather a lot, croissants, pain au chocolate and French baguette, juice, coffee, butter and jams. Parking was good, in fact with all the cyclists we were one of 2 cars and a van parked there. The village is pretty for a walk around and a drink in a bar beside the river, we arrived early and reception only opened at 4 so it was nice to have a wonder around. The hotel also has a nice garden area for drinks and a small swimming pool. Would definitely recommend a detour to this place if you are in the area.

We stayed at the Hotel Angleterre 12 years ago and did not hesitate to revisit when we were passing thru the area again. I remember the hospitality, the cleanliness, the friendliness and none of these have changed at all in those years. The evening meal offering was just superb. The choice, quality and presentation of the food is as good, if not better than I remember. Do yourself a favour and dine in the hotel each night you stay. Breakfast was plentiful and a super way to start the day. Everything about this hotel is excellent.

The hotel was excellent and in a great location. The private swimming pool in the courtyard was great in hot weather. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. I happened to forget my wedding ring at the hotel. The hotel found the ring and sent it to me in Finland!
