We just stopped by with my girlfriend for lunch and even when we enjoyed the food, I need to say that service gave us the real nice experience. Young lady named Silke was taking kind and professional care of us, we missed nothing with her. Thank you, we will definitely recommend your restaurant!

Had a really good stay here, twice. I’m going to be staying in this neighborhood quite often in the next year, so I’ve been trying out all the hotels around. There’s about five to choose from, but so far the van der Valk has been the most enjoyable. Rooms are spacious and well equipped (including a safe, mini fridge and coffee maker), the restaurant has good quality food and the staff is friendly. Happy to come back.

The hotel room that I stayed in and the areas to access the room were in need of refurbishment, not what you would expect from a Van der Valk hotel. Breakfast was not offering much of a selection for the cooked breakfast no mushrooms, sausage or hash browns no poached eggs or omelette etc which was disappointing. The restaurant had a very limited selection of main meals and the team were not very attentive and took over 15-mins to get my bill and then more time to make payment. The room was NOT cleaned very well, hairs in the sink, there was a large piece of faeces on the wall of the toilet, the floor did not look like it had been cleaned either. Would I stay at this hotel again, probably not until the cleaning team have had training on cleaning rooms and the restaurant has a more interesting menu and service improved as well as the refurbishment of the hotel in general so it does not look so tired and un-welcoming.

Nice hotel, great Sauna but beware of invisible insects that might make your stay uncomfortable. If you got a sensitive skin like me, then you will feel irritated by this. The location did not satisfy my actual need for being in Arnhem, I should have stayed in a different location more open with easy access to public transportation, restaurants and other city attractions. I had difficulty getting a taxi on the go. So, it was necessary to prebook my Uber taxis. Just ordering a taxi when it was needed was impossible. Otherwise, the hotel is neat, great hotel staff, the food was ok. The price is also great, but value for money in this case would be relative. But under the same circumstance as this trip, this hotel will not be my first choice.

This was our first driving tour to The Netherlands from the Uk. We selected this hotel based on it being in a convenient location for visiting the Arnhem and Oosterbeek Operation Market Garden historic places of interest. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was bigger than expected and was very quiet even though the hotel was very busy. The selection of fresh food available at the buffet breakfast was excellent and the lunch and evening meals were good quality at reasonable prices. Overall the standard of accommodation and quality of food and service exceeded our expectations for the price paid. We would certainly recommend this hotel and will also look at other hotels in the Van der Valk chain based on our experience at the Arnhem hotel.
