Absolutely perfect stay at this stunning boutique hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, food was outstanding, the rooms were so thoughtfully designed and The Beach was perfect. Would highly recommend without hesitation!

We stayed at this very well located and beautifully decorated hotel and the end of a long trip. The room was great with an attractive view over Osso Bay. There are plenty of good quality restaurants nearby. We didn’t use the two small hotel pools which aren’t that inviting but the nearby beach is good for sunbathing and swimming. We’ve left some constructive comments on how the hotel could improve regarding our stay and the food and beverage on offer. They were very grateful and receptive to our suggestions. These were mainly due to our personal preferences so won’t bother with the detail.

From the moment you walk into Vila da Santa, a sense of calm washes over you. It’s a true oasis—beautifully designed, subtly fragrant, quiet, and wonderfully peaceful. We stayed for six nights in March, following a vibrant few days in Rio for Carnival, and Vila da Santa was the perfect antidote to the chaos and energy of the city. The hotel has a charming, traditional style with a touch of elegance, composed of several interconnected buildings. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and featured a fabulous large bathroom. The on-site restaurant, La Gare, was another highlight of our stay. In fact, we found it to be the best place to eat in Búzios, dining there most evenings after a couple of underwhelming experiences at more famous spots in town. The food was consistently excellent and the courtyard dining area is especially charming. Breakfasts were generous and served Brazilian-style, with a cold buffet of fresh fruit, breads, and pastries, alongside hot options made to order. We especially enjoyed the private access to a small beach and the hotel’s pool areas. While the pools are more like plunge pools than swimming pools, they were still a lovely feature for a refreshing dip. The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. They’re a real credit to the hotel. All in all, we couldn’t recommend Vila da Santa more highly. Every aspect of our stay was fabulous. If it weren’t so far from England, we’d be back in a heartbeat.

We had a restful time at Villa da Santa in the main however quieter area of Buzios booked by our agent. We had a beach experience at the rear of the hotel that was deckchairs with a small portion of beach allocated to the hotel, guests had access to towels, drinks and a shower. Evening we enjoyed the meal with jazz music accompaniment as well as cocktails all good & a separate review of La Gare was made. There were tours & taxis organised by the hotel and friendly staff throughout although slightly higher prices than those quoted externally. I spoke to staff who were more than happy to assist and were welcoming us to this warm boutique experience. An area for improvement may be around some staff who were not interested in assisting that contrasted with the staff who were then friendly, or more accommodating.

It’s hard to put into words how good this place is, from the moment you arrive and are greeted like a long lost friend to the moment you leave fully relaxed and sad at leaving. The whole place is a visual delight and the staff cannot do enough for you, and as for the food it was amazing. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and the bed very comfy. We loved sitting in the courtyard enjoying our breakfast or pre dinner drinks a real oasis from the world.

Just back from our first visit touring Brazil. We finished our trip with 3 nights at the beautiful Buzios. Our hotel was a small 24 bedroom pure boutique. The staff were delightful and the set up was exquisite. Perfectly located by the beach and stylish promenade the tranquility just added to the atmosphere.

From the moment our Taxi pulled up I could see that this hotel was going to be special and the location was perfect for getting out and about in and around Buzios. The room and communal area were very clean and stylish with lots of interesting decorative pieces to feast the eye on. Breakfast was delicious buffet style with hot options to order. The staff were so attentive and polite, making us feel really cared about. The restaurant food was exceptional but we only ate there twice as there are so many other local restaurants to choose from. The beach was accessible from the back of the hotel with deck chairs and towels provided and waiter service for drinks and food. It was great to be on the beach amongst the local families and easy to get a boat to other beaches. Having spent 5 days in Copa Cabana, Rio, Buzios was like a piece of the Mediterranean, we stayed for a week and was sorry to leave. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at Vila da Santa Hotel.
