Anne & her husband offer 3 rooms in her lovely villa that is absolutely spotless and decorated to a very modern and high standard. The room my son and his girlfriend had was stunning with a large terrace and steps to a rooftop terrace that had a couple of sun loungers. We booked 2 of the 3 rooms both for a week and it is located in a very peaceful area with Uber’s being very reliable and cheap when I didn’t want to drive. Breakfast was lovely, consisting of bread rolls, croissants, fresh orange, pain au chocolat, yogurt and ham & cheese. The latter (ham & cheese) was a strange one as the first morning it was 4 slices of each between 2 people which reduced down to 3 after a couple of days then, 2 on the last morning. However, she was very flexible one morning and opened up breakfast for me and my son at 06:30 as he was playing in a junior world championship with an early tee time, so that was very nice of her. We took Anne up in the 3 course evening meal option one night and it was beautiful, 3 courses with wine and all 4 of us really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this. The main thing that lets this guest house down is the jacuzzi cost, at 15 euros each for 20 mins. Now I know there is a cost to running and maintenance of such, but does a jacuzzi use more electricity the more people that are inside it, I really struggled to understand the per person charge as opposed to a flat rate for 20 mins. So 4 people in a jacuzzi for 20 mins = 60 euros, but this does reduce to 50 if you purchase 4 sessions, even so, quite extortionate. Oh and please don’t press the ‘jets’ button ! That takes me into Anne!s mood swings. We paid 50 euros for 4 jacuzzi sessions and had 2 left which my son and his girlfriend decided to use them at 17:30 one afternoon. Anne and her husband removed the cover and powered it up. She then disappeared and they were left waiting, so got in and I pressed the jets button. The jets came on ever so slightly, but she then appeared and went ballistic. She went storming back into the Villa without turning the jets up to how they should be, but took the 2 credits off us, so essentially 25 euros for a 20 min bath. The next morning she was fine and chatty without any reference to the jacuzzi. As for the swimming pool, it was freezing cold and when I asked if it was heated, was told not until 1st March, but Anne you have guests in February. Then, on our last evening the 4 of us went into town and didn’t return until 02:00. We were very mindful of any noise when we came in, not having any conversations but the locks on the doors are loud when you turn them due to being dual locks with a bunch of keys and tiled floors, so nothing to surpress any sound. Well the next morning Anne didn’t even acknowledge my wife who was first down for breakfast and I can only think it was because we came in late. It was so rude and unprofessional of her, if you have an issue, then please bring it to the persons attention. Maybe we should have complained
