I want to state that the Sheraton Pentagon City is outstanding and very attentive to detail! The private breakfast and room were perfect and the rooms were clean and well maintained! The staff were helpful with any questions I had and ensured my stay was a success with the twenty rooms, I had booked with this Sheraton. Jada is the best in the business and the staff outstanding!! I'm in hotels a minimum of 100 nights a year and love coming back to this hotel with my groups. I would give this hotel 6 stars if possible!

I like to stay in different Hilton family properties across the portfolio when I stay in different cities. A trip out the new section of the Metro Silver Line brought me to this location. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I have stayed in many hotels and know the standards I expect from each brand in the portfolio. This Hilton provided me with a pleasurable and ample stay. As always I chose my room along with pre-check-in the day before my arrival. Upon arrival I was pleased to find that the entrance to the hotel is literally at the top of the exit from the Metro. I went right to my room with the digital key, bypassing the front desk. I would later return to get the water bottles I was entitled to. The room was certainly a good size for a suburban location... plenty of room for everything. The bathroom satisfactory as well with enough space for my toiletries. The shower had no hot water issues. Climate in the room was easy to control, although it was fairly mild outside for early December. In the morning, breakfast was served at the place on the second floor, a typical buffet offering with many diverse choices. All in all this place comes highly recommended if in the DC area; it's easy to get anywhere by Metro.

Crystal City
The pros: great location, staff is welcoming and helpful, breakfast was good. Very close to great restaurants, shopping and Metro stop. Easy to walk to any of these. The cons: none significant. FWIW: You have to stop your car at the front and check in to get a parking pass - cost is $35 a day. Not a lot of room for your car while you’re checking in, but they are quick. If you are accustomed to an HGI in a more suburban location where you have plenty of room to park and have some distance from others, you’ll feel cramped here. But it’s a big city and it can’t be helped. Plenty of city noise, but none from the hotel itself.

Tip: if you require a handicap room with a specific capability (roll-in show for example) do not rely on calling central reservations to get the room choice right. I received a confirmation for a specific room only to find out it did not exist at the property. When I identified this to the receptionist on-duty I was told to return at 3pm when other rooms would open up and that the staff on duty could assign me the correct room. Turns out in hindsight that receptionist knew (my gut feeling) knew the room did not exist on that property and left the issue for the next shift to figure out. While the next staff shift tried to figure it out, the manager put in a few words then promptly left the property. The receptionist was on hold for over 75 minutes with their central reservations POC when I finally called the members number and then married the two together to locate a room.

This is what I wrote to the Manager of the hotel. Mr. Hassan, Let me congratulate you on assembling one of the finest teams of hotel workers I have known. I especially want to point out Diamond, Larry, Carl, Melanie and Lourdes at the front desk and Johannes in housekeeping. Although I didn’t speak to any of them I also appreciate the maids who serviced our room every day. The reason I want to mention each person is because each addressed the issues we were having in a friendly, personal and professional manner. When my husband and I get to our room, we go over it to make sure anything out of place is mentioned to the front desk staff before we unpack. We found the living room chair in disrepair, a knob missing from the stovetop and the TV wasn’t working. By the time we returned to the front desk with our report, Diamond was on duty and asked if we wanted to change our room. She personally came to the second room and we told her that we preferred the first room if the items that needed addressing could be resolved. In fact, some were resolved by the time we returned to the first room. I also want to let you know that I had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time! This was my first time at a Residence and my husband and I agree that we now need a reason to come back. Having a full refrigerator, free wifi, hot buffet breakfast, a fantastic and helpful staff and all the other amenities has made this our go-to for future stays in Arlington/Crystal City. I only have one suggestion to make and that is for your buffet. I know there may be safety rules involved, but a hot buffet should stay hot; one morning I was the first one there and by the time I got to my table the waffles were cold. This continued the next days for the pancakes and french toast. If there’s a problem with keeping a flame under each tray, may I recommend you put one or two small microwaves in or immediately outside the buffet area.

I have already recommended your hotel to a friend. And I’ll continue to do so to any and all who ask “What’s the best hotel in Arlington?”

This is a great location within walking distance of several restaurants. It's important because the hotel restaurant is only open for dinner. All staff were helpful. Clayton Gino ensured everything went well. It was convenient to have an airport shuttle too.
