The air conditioning here is very bad. The lowest setting can only reach 19.4 degrees. When the room temperature reaches about 20 degrees, it stops blowing! It doesn't even blow! Then the window cannot be opened, and there is no ventilation at all. It is stuffy all day long and the air from the air conditioner smells like stinky leather shoes. I went to the front desk to communicate about the air conditioning, and she said that this is normal and that the air conditioners here are like this. The faucet in the shower room cannot be closed tightly, and it drips all night. The floor of the shower room is also dilapidated, with many signs of repairs. I communicated with the front desk to change rooms, but they refused! They said that all the rooms were booked! I lived here for 23 days and the experience was super bad!

The rooms are clean, beautiful, the food is delicious. Great receptionist and service Not having drinking water is just a disadvantage. Overall, it's very nice to stay.

We loved how close it was to the metro. It was super easy to jump on and explore the area. The continental breakfast in the morning was the perfect way to start the day. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The lady with the long braids who worked during the day was super nice and friendly(couldn't see her name) . Yanise and momo were also great as well as the lady with shells or beads in her hair. Would definitely stay here again!

Per my stars overall the property was great; however and I must preface this by saying I did not interact with all the front desk personnel, but the ones I did interact with seemed extremely dismissive to the point of being rude.

This is a great hotel, and reasonably priced. It was spotlessly clean and new feeling. Excellent beds and bed clothes. Excellent rooms. Quick elevator. Excellent breakfast. Friendly efficient staff. Good shuttle service to DCA. This is my new choice of hotel in the area.

Hampton Inn & Suites is on the top of my go to hotels because of efficiency from cleanliness to breakfast options - always a great choice!
Two comments I have in this particular property are:
1) bathroom door — opening and getting in is a little challenging because the door is in very close proximity to the toilet bowl and the shower sliding door, there is not a lot of room getting in without being extra careful. Room was a one-bedroom suite.
2) trash can — only one small trash can in the living room which has a divider for regular trash and recycle which is not big enough if you plan to eat inside the room even for one night.

The bathroom was poorly designed with no place to hang towels and the water pressure in the shower was very weak. The room was clean though.
