The hotel is very Irish and the surrounding scenery is very good. Opposite the hotel is a golf course, and there is a bar on the first floor. Watching the ball is very atmospheric, and there are locals who will play guitar and sing. The service and breakfast are very good, and the facilities are well maintained~

A fun friendly well run querky hotel with excellence food. Helpful when making the booking and all through the planning process. Quick to respond to calls and emails. All 29 in the group said we'd come back either for group outing or with our own families.

Have just spent two night at the Woodenbridge Hotel.. this could be 5 star had it not been for the extremely loud singing of guests in the bar.. this went on well after 1:30am. There had been a singer on who finished promptly at 11pm.. however then the group of drinkers started.. sang Dublin in the rare old times so much the whole Hotel knows it now and Molly Malone fed up hearing her name. It’s an hotel and the music or enjoyment is expected, to maybe midnight on a routine Monday night. But no the customers continued to be served and very loud singing went on well after 1:30am. There are even notices around the hotel to be quiet after 11pm.. no notice taken of these. The hotel did apologise and reach out to us to offer a quieter room next time.. next time may never come. As I said the review should be so much better, room really nice and food and portion size excellent. Rory in the Resturant area serving was excellent, great with the chat and very helpful. Woodenbridge, you need to exert some control in your larger groups (golfers etc), this was a very poor experience for any sleep.

Stayed for four nights. Spacious room in the lodge. Very convenient to woodenbridge golf course. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast fantastic.

Absolutely fabulous break booked over the phone lovely lady booked our room and golf in Arklow. On arrival we were welcomed warmly at reception. Our room was great with a four poster bed and a bath and views across the Golf course. We had beautiful meals both nights but far and away the best thing about Woodenbridge is it exception staff helpful friendly just amazing. 6

The 4 of us ordered pizza and it took over an hour for it to arrive after they cleared away our starters. We were the last people left in restaurant and the staff were cleaning up around us which made it very uncomfortable. While we waited on the pizza we asked a member of staff what was the hold up and she informed us that the pizzas did actually come out but she wasn't happy with their quality so they had to be redone. Which thinking back on it is a very odd thing for a member of the staff to say and especially when it comes to pizza. Like if underdone would it not be a case of just putting it back in the oven for a few mins. Anyway when it did arrive it was still underdone and not very good quality. This was very disappointing as we loved our starters and this our 3rd time staying in Woodenbridge for golf and accom and we have always loved the smokehouse but the pizza and service really let it down this time. Because it took so long and we were clearly the only people left we were never even asked if we wanted to try dessert and when we ordered coffee's it seemed like a big hassle to the staff as they wanted to finish up and close.
