The facilities are relatively old, and the high-temperature air conditioner in Zakynthos is broken at a temperature of 30 degrees. It gives us a conclusion that we don't know when it will be repaired. The room is like a sauna.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 10 nights as a couple, opting for an all-inclusive package with a "My Favourite Club" swim-up room. We were really looking forward to the experience, especially after paying a premium for the upgrade—but unfortunately, we left feeling a little underwhelmed. Room: The room itself was spacious and clean, but seriously lacked storage space. There was no full-length hanging area, and I had to resort to hanging dresses on the cupboard door using my own hangers. The wardrobe space was limited due to the fridge and safe taking up room underneath. Also worth noting: the swim-up pool is not for exclusive use, so that may be a consideration for future guests. Facilities: The infinity pool is a definite highlight—absolutely stunning with fabulous views. However, we were disappointed that the area around the pool wasn’t cleaned once during our 10-day stay. The floor was dirty and the Bali beds were in need of attention, which was surprising for a premium section of the hotel. Food & Drinks: This was probably the biggest letdown. The quality of the food and drinks didn’t match what we expected from an upgraded package. You had to pay extra for items like burgers or pizza at the snack bar, while the included options were limited to dry ciabatta rolls or hotdogs. Cocktails were poorly made (and frozen ones cost extra), and the beer tasted watered down. The buffet was okay but quite repetitive—though I have to say, the salads were excellent and became a go-to for us. Dining Out: There are some lovely restaurants and bars within walking distance, and we ended up eating out more than we had planned—again, not what we expected given the price we paid for an upgraded all-inclusive experience. Entertainment: As expected for this kind of resort—basic but enjoyable. The Greek night was good fun, and there was one night with a fantastic live band that really got everyone up and dancing. Staff: A huge positive! The staff were always friendly, helpful, and smiling, even while working in very hot conditions. They really make the hotel what it is. Overall: The hotel has so much potential—it’s in a beautiful location and could easily live up to its 4-star rating with a bit more attention to quality and guest value. We had a lovely, relaxing stay, which is what we came for, but we wouldn’t return based on the overall value for money. If you’re not planning to upgrade, it may meet your expectations, but for the price we paid, we were disappointed

We had an absolutely wonderful time at AluaSoul Zakynthos! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome – always smiling, friendly, and ready to help with anything we needed. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly maintained. Our My Favourite Club room was spacious, clean, and had a stunning sea view.

We stayed at AluaSoul Zakynthos for 10 nights, drawn in by its beautiful location and adults-only promise. While the setting was visually serene, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Before arriving, I contacted the hotel to ask if any provisions could be made due to my neurodiversity—not for a full upgrade, just something to help make the stay more comfortable. I was denied complimentary access to the My Favourite Club area and instead assured in writing that the regular pool area would be quiet and have plenty of sunbeds. Unfortunately, on our first day, we were hit with half an hour of aqua-aerobics blasting music at 85 decibels—a detail that had been omitted in communication. It was disheartening to be asked to pay for quiet space when that’s a reasonable baseline request. We had been offered a 50% discount on the My Favourite Club upgrade prior to our arrival and again when we got to the hotel—but after reviewing what it offered, we didn’t feel it was worth it. The MFC perks amounted to a quieter sunbed area, separate dining space, and different towels. Notably, premium drinks weren’t included, and there was no dedicated service in the exclusive areas. What made things more confusing was hearing that other guests received the same discount without clear reason, while some paid full price. The MFC program wasn’t well explained online, and many guests didn’t learn its details until arrival. The wristband system introduced tension across the resort. MFC guests were often perceived as taking up space in the shared pool areas, which are accessible to all but limited in sunbeds—leading to a sense of unfairness. Meanwhile, non-MFC guests walking through club-designated spaces like the beach access route were met with stares or told to leave, sometimes abruptly, by staff or other guests. Minimal signage only added to the discomfort. Swim-up rooms weren’t truly private—shared pool access and common use of Bali beds outside guests’ rooms resulted in awkward moments and blurred boundaries. The overall feeling was one of social division rather than relaxation. Housekeeping varied day to day. Sometimes the room was tidied properly; other times, the bed was stripped but left incomplete, and no clean glasses were provided. We didn’t receive a blanket until the last night despite the air con being on in the evenings. Water service was poorly managed—bottled water was only provided on arrival and not replenished, making it difficult to even use the kettle unless you took your own bottle to the dispenser or paid extra. It felt unnecessarily complicated for a basic provision. Accessibility also left a lot to be desired. While ramps existed in some areas, there was no lift anywhere in the resort, and some communal spaces like the downstairs toilets were entirely inaccessible. The poolside toilet floors were slippery—hardly ideal for guests walking in wet from the pool. Bathrooms in the rooms themselves were small and did not meet the expected

We recently stayed at AluaSoul Zante, booking a My Favourite Club swim-out room through British Airways Holidays. The hotel has huge potential — the views are absolutely breathtaking, the location is perfect, and the front-line staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with a glass of sparkling wine and a personal escort to our room. The room was clean and the outdoor Bali bed offered amazing views, though one cushion was ripped. The bathroom, however, was in poor condition — cracked bath and toilet seat, mouldy silicone, no ventilation, and a window that couldn’t be opened. After reporting these issues, the toilet seat was replaced, the silicone was redone, and the window was opened, which we appreciated — but these are things that should have been addressed before arrival. The à la carte restaurant was disappointing, and the buffet often featured odd food combinations — one night there were hot dogs in an Indian curry sauce. The snack bar was also underwhelming, with very limited options included in the all-inclusive package, and many items were chargeable, even for My Favourite Club guests. This was unexpected and made the all-inclusive feel more restrictive than advertised. Due to the lack of allergy labelling, especially on salads, I had to rely on staff to guide me through what was safe to eat (I have a shellfish/crustacean allergy). One dish labelled vegetarian even contained ham. After a few days, we chose to eat three meals outside the hotel at independent restaurants, which says a lot. When I raised the allergy and bathroom concerns with a manager, I was told the bath was “fine” and that I should just ask staff about allergens — a response I found dismissive and concerning. The air conditioning also failed twice, leaking onto the floor and our belongings. While staff did respond and fix it, it was frustrating to deal with repeatedly. One staff member did try to make up for it by sending a bottle of sparkling wine to our room, which was appreciated. One final point: this hotel is branded under Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, but the experience didn’t reflect the standards typically associated with the Hyatt name. It felt more like the hotel was simply using the brand rather than upholding its quality and service expectations. In summary: This hotel has so much going for it — amazing staff, unbeatable views, and a great setting — but it’s let down by poor food quality, allergy safety issues, maintenance problems, and a surprisingly limited all-inclusive offering. With better management and attention to detail, it could be truly exceptional.

Very nice hotel, the food is very repetitive, lots of variety but mostly the same. The pool area and bar areas are kept clean and tidy. The bedrooms are good to. The bathrooms can do with an upgrade. Reception staff and waitering staff are very helpful and responsive.

I visited this hotel with my family with a jet 2 holidays package. This hotel has been rated a 4 star hotel but don’t believe that at all. It does have some positives but the negatives out way the positives. In my opinion don’t risk going here. So me and my family arrived on the Saturday from a long journey and when we arrived we was welcomed by an unfriendly staff member at reception and I’m not too sure on name due to did not even bother to introduce themselves to us they gave us room number and pointed at a room for us to put our luggage in until check in at 3pm. We were allowed to use the facilities while waiting for our room to be cleaned and for us to collect our luggage at 3 pm. However me and my family noticed that people were checking in early and they had not paid for this extra so we enquired about our room and it was ready and other people was being shown their rooms but however we was not shown we had to show ourselves the luggage was hard to take up Due to a family member had a medical issues and this was hard for them and there was no help offered what so ever we felt we were not acknowledged by the staff at reception. When we had arrived in our rooms, it was clean but however the TV was hanging halfway off the wall and ready to come down. I had noticed when I went in the bathroom for a shower. The shower had a lack of pressure and at times the water was cold and was not warmed up. A positive was the cleaners were very friendly and cleaned the bedrooms very well every day and supplied fresh towels and fresh bedding. Another fault with the hotel room is that my air-conditioning had gone out and the temperature in the room was not pleasant due to it being so hot outside. I had to attend reception twice to get an engineer out to fix the air-conditioning which was inconvenient due to having to keep going down and telling them the Aircon was not working. It was fixed in the end, but however I feel these things should be checked before the room is rented out for somebody. Me and my family attended the buffet the food looked well presented but however there was not a variety for vegetarians and a lot of fish. One of my family members have had the fish and pork skewers at the buffet. This made them very unwell and gave them gastroenteritis and food poisoning from the buffet. They had to attend hospital due to being so unwell and nearly falling unwell with sepsis due to the poor hygiene and cooking of the kitchen. This had completely ruined the holiday due to the uncleanliness of the hotel in the kitchen. We also ate in the pool restaurant outside the food look good to start with but however, as we were eating two of my family members had found a hair in their food which was very offputting. We had to eat outside of the hotel and other restaurants despite paying for the all-inclusive package due to how worried we were about the food poisoning and cross contamination issues within this hotel it had been raised with a Jet2 rep who represents
