Cavo Orient Beach Hotel & Suites

Hotel is lovely. I paid for private pool, seaside view. Its great. Music from beach bar. We've just been out to the Steak restaurant up the road. All-inclusive is disappointing. Not worth the cost. Cocktails on AI are prepared rubbish. All other cocktails are 10e each! Barman is miserable. Bar snacks are minimal...toasties or cookies. If I was to book again ...defo bed and breakfast. Food and bar let a beautiful hotel down. Beach bar although 2m away from rooms is not AI. A little customer satisfaction wouldn't go a miss. We paid 2,800 (2 adults) for a week AI and had to pay for decent drinks and go out for warm decent food daily.

Great potential ! But there are things I would see as problems for true four star. Location is great, private and out the way of any exploring parties with a private beach and beach side private pools ( but positioning is a little off as after 12-1pm the pools are in shade and cool down fast to the point of a cold shock.) Heated pools after set times would solve this issue. Toilet windows open into hallway so I can smell and hear people pooping but only to my knowledge of the area we stayed. Which has the honeymoon suits. Food was strangely unappetising at the restaurant upstairs. However there was premium food options only at certain times via the beach bar. They are not included in all-inclusive packages only for purchase. Both menu Shown in images below. Staff were outstanding in all encounters. Housekeeping is military clockwork and will learn your routines and adapt to guests coming and going, always immaculate and Flawless. Beach barman is .. an immediate bff to everyone. 4 euro add-on charge if reception call a taxi for you so best look up local taxi number. Hotel itself is very pretty and definitely worth a stay. more investment would make this one of the top on the island. Seasonal services are something to note, start and end of seasons will be slightly hollow due to things being slow to start and fast to switch off. End of may to the start of October would be the best times.

The hotel's poor management was evident from the moment we arrived. The staff seemed disorganized and unresponsive, leaving us frustrated and disappointed. To make matters worse, when we left a negative review detailing our unpleasant experienceand when we complained about that we reserved a sea view room , and they gived us a none the hotel shockingly charged us extra for a 16-year-old guest, when we checked in they said no problem for 16 years old child , when we cheked out they asked for extra 450 euros Adding to the frustration, there was no manager available to address our concerns or rectify the situation. This entire ordeal left us questioning the hotel's integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction. Very far from everything its like out of no where , too much mosquitoes , and when u open the door u find dogs! U cant pay by card for the taxi so they can take extra charges , breakfast far 15 min walking from rooms, they close at 10 ak u almost cant get there. First of all, manager's attitude is by far the worst I have ever seen. He accused us of wanting to blackmail him by yelling at us, because we asked for a room that corresponds to the one we had booked, namely Deluxe Double Room with Pool View and Side Sea view. When we tried to explain to the manager our point of view regarding the assigned room, he told us if it doesn't suit you, take the money and leave, then seeing that we ask for the money back, he didn't want to give it to us anymore !!! From the room he assigned us, you could only see buildings, and next to them were air conditioners chillers, that made an infernal noise, so that we couldn't sit on the terrace. The description of these rooms as side sea view is a big LIE, because you can only see the sea from the main alley that passes in front of the rooms, not from the room, the view is towards the other buildings, in addition, you don't have a bit of privacy, and the noise produced by the chillers and the cleaning staff at 6 in the morning is terrible. The hotel does not have a proper beach, and the water is not too clean. Another minus is that the restaurant for breakfast and dinner does not have a terrace, it is only eaten inside. In conclusion, we will never return to this hotel and we do not recommend it to anyone. Such attitude of a hotel manager is a shame !

My wife and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon. After 7 days of stay we are very satisfied. The hotel is located right on the seafront with a private beach, bar and sun loungers. We chose a room with a pool and a side view of the sea. The hotel is new and the staff takes care of cleanliness every day. Food at a high level - there is something for everyone - from Mediterranean through Italian cuisine even with Polish or Asian accents. Service sensational - always smiling, helpful and friendly. It happens that some know basic words in the language of guests, which further helps to build a relationship and trust. Bartenders at a high level and eager to chat (nods especially to Nikolas and Michael). The hotel also offers theme nights with live music on some days. My Wife and I return to Poland rested, smiling and with beautiful memories. We will definitely return someday!

Stayed here with my partner & 8 month old baby. Check in was very quick & efficient, bags were carried to the room for us by Giannis. Opted for the seaside view room with the private pool, the room was huge lots of space, nicely decorated, it was cleaned everyday but not to my standards the floor was a little dirty & the toilet had a bit of a smell. The bed was very comfortable, a baby cot was kindly provided for us. The pool was very cold I assume because of the time of the year but it barely gets any sun just about an hour in the morning. The views were amazing & waking up to the sound of the ocean really made our stay. The main pool was big, bit warmer & there was a lot of sun loungers. The beach also had a lot of loungers but also cold & pebbly. There are bees around the pool & beach & after a while they start being a bother. We didn’t try the pool bar but it looked clean & always staffed. Some nights there was entertainment on by the pool which was really good. The food was very good, good variety, there’s something for everyone. Good selection of drinks too. There’s some repetition but that’s expected. Very big dining hall which was clean & very efficient staff. There is a supermarket around 10 mins walk from the hotel which sticks a lot of stuff - food, toiletries, souvenirs. The staff were very friendly everyone from the reception team & especially the dining staff were excellent. Special mention for Giannis who was amazing, couldn’t do enough for us & works very hard. He is a credit to that place & we are grateful to have met him.

We booked an apartment for ten days at this hotel to celebrate my birthday and our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We were doubtful after reading some of the reviews from previous visitors. So glad we didn’t take any notice of them though. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. The hotel and apartment were kept spotlessly clean. The food was varied and plentiful so much so that we gave up on lunch after three days as it was too much. The restaurant staff were friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them both in the buffet and the actual restaurant. The beach is as all beaches along that coast, stony and difficult to get into even with beach shoes but the pool is lovely and we had our own pool too as many others did. We had some lovely early morning walks and would go back again. Cannot recommend this hotel more unless you want a buzzing atmosphere. The only con to the holiday is that the drinks at the pool bar on the all inclusive menu were served in plastic glasses but this did not worry us as we found a bar (the old petrol station) on the main road who served cold bottled beer in iced proper glasses. The owners were so welcoming and lovely.

So let’s bring this into context it was out of season the hotel was dead, the staff were attentive and great. You are a 20 euro cab ride from the nearest restaurants and life. The onsite outside restaurant was good but only for a couple of times. The plunge pool will be cold 20c, main pool 24c and the sea 25c. The joy of the Apple Watch ultra 🤣 the view is amazing and in season there would be restaurants in walking distance. The hotel is a bit tired it’s a good 3 star it’s not a 4 star, but we all enjoyed it and you can’t fault the staff. Oh top tip you need to run hot water for 20min at least if your the only ones there 🤣🤣🤣
