Had a lovely holiday at Atlantica Eleon, what a beautiful stay with my partner & daughter (11 yrs). The staff are AMAZING, such hard-working lovely kind people - working really long days in the heat yet always greeted you with a smile on their face . So accommodating & helpful too. People who have left negative reviews are nit picking, it’s a lovely hotel with lovely views overlooking the sea. We had a warm welcome on reception plus they had left food aside for us as we arrived about 11pm & they thought we’d be hungry (which we were). This was a lovely gesture. The Italian restaurant in the hotel (beside the pool) was outstanding, such a beautiful meal & a treat / change from buffet- recommend (you get 1 meal included in your stay) beautiful atmosphere & food. Friendly & professional staff. Beautiful vibe Lola (I think ?) Albanian staff member, was so lovely and bought my daughter a gift just before we left (for helping her pick some litter on the beach), was such a lovely surprise- she’s been showing off her purse to family since coming home. Just shows what the staff in this hotel are like! Above and beyond. Our daughter particularly liked Joe, Will and Chelsea in entertainment team .. and we loved Joe on the bar plus several staff members (sorry we didn’t get everyone’s names). The only downside is hotel is slightly out of the way, but also only €10 for a taxi to the nearest town where there are heaps of eateries, pubs and shops. But you could easily spend the week at the hotel if you’re not a fussy eater. FOOD: Pretty decent but same as every all inclusive it can become a bit samey. I’m Vegan and managed. I’m not a big breakfast person, had toast & jam + fruit, lunch I had a lot of salady stuff, pasta, rice , olives, chips etc.. and dinner much & such - but they always had veggie sometimes vegan options- there was heaps of salad, lentils, vegetables etc. pasta, chips. And a theme every night - we were sad as left on the day of oriental night so didn’t get to try that .. but the noodles etc looked tasty. You will get by as vegan but we did end up going for a Chinese in the next town 1 night.. and 1 night in the Italian restaurant which was as I said above a nice treat. I think 2 weeks as vegan might be a bit samey DRINK: You get what you pay for. This hotel was a pretty good deal/price so can’t expect everything to be high end. Beer was fine but tasted low percentage/maybe watered down- nice enough though . Wine was fine, Prosecco was the nicest drink of all, not to be fussy but cocktails were pretty samey and very sweet/syruppy. The drinks were flowing though and it was a lovely touch that they came by the poolside (top pool) taking drinks orders. There was also the option of paying for better quality drinks (I think) SNACK BAR: Great if you don’t want to get dressed to go inside for lunch. Good if you eat meat - hot dogs, chicken, chips, baguettes.. veggie -they had a veggie burger or salad sandwich… or just chips if

We spent 2 weeks at Atlantica Eleon Grand as a family of 4 with 2 boys (9 & 13) and we had such a wonderful time! Things I thought worth noting, sorry for the lengthy review! 5 x pools: Adults only - small pool with jets, next to the Panorama Bar at the top of the resort. Lovely place to chill with a cold beer / cocktail with beautiful views over the sea. There are no sun loungers here, because the tables and chairs are in full use during the evenings. Baby pool - we didn't use this but it looked decent with a sail for shade. Infinity pool - a tier down from the adults only pool. Doesn't get too overcrowded, a good spot to try and get some swimming in, especially around lunchtime when it's quieter. Main activity pool - 3m deep at one end, super shallow at the other. You're allowed inflatables, balls, games etc in this pool. Aqua fit, water polo, water volley etc all takes place in this pool. It gets busy but not to the point it feels overcrowded. Slide pool - so much fun!! 4 slides that everyone can go on. Little ones can sit on adults laps. We all went on the slides every day. The pools don't open until 10am, which to start with I thought was a bit late, however this really does prevent the 5am bed reservers! Most people start sauntering down around 8am / 8:30. So long as you don't put your towels down and leave for the morning, you're ok to lay, read, chill and wait for the pools to open. Lifeguards - Marcus & Marianne have a job on their hands! They are really lovely people with rules they have to follow. They definitely do their job of keeping everyone safe. They have their eyes on the pools at all times. It is a little excessive that no jumping or diving is allowed in a 3m deep pool, however 2 sides of the deep end have very narrow sides, so perhaps this is the reason? However there is a side with a larger surface area, so it would be ok to jump or dive from that side, surely. It seemed a bit unfair. One of the slides is a really wide orange slide and the kids were constantly told off for turning / spinning around while on this one, which again seemed a bit mean. The slide is big enough for 3 kids to go down side by side so to make them go one at a time and only facing forward, again, seemed a little bit like a fun sponge! Having said all that, we still had lots and lots of fun in all the pools. Beach & sea - the beds by the beach are absolutely lovely! This was our favourite spot. There is a beautiful sea breeze and the Olive trees provide shade throughout the day if needed. It's a great base if your kids are a bit older and can go to the pools on their own. The sea was perfect temperature, clear waters, excellent conditions for swimming - there are no time limits in the sea ;) It is shallow for a long way out and is rocky / pebbly for a while before hitting the sand, sea shoes are thoroughly recommended. You can hire jet skis and private boats from a guy who is based next to the beach. It's worth keeping an eye on him

We had a truly wonderful stay here. The food was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, and the outdoor areas were beautiful and well kept. But what touched us the most was the staff. We faced one of the hardest moments in our lives when our child fell ill during our stay, and the kindness, care, and support we received went far beyond what we could ever have expected. We will always be deeply grateful for that. We can only give our warmest recommendation for this place.

There are many positives to this hotel. However, I will never visit again because of the multiple pool rules. I’ve never known any deep pool in the UK or abroad that bans jumping in. If management want to set this rule then they should be transparent about it on their website. People can then make an informed choice about booking the hotel. I never would have booked if I’d known about the multiple rules. Beautiful location Very helpful and attentive staff Food was nice Never felt busy and overcrowded Room clean although abit dated Entertainment round the pool good Plenty of sunbeds Evening entertainment awful Cocktails undrinkable Lifeguards around the pool were on it, which is a good thing. No phone watching disinterested lifeguards etc that I’ve seen at other hotels. But oh my goodness the whistle gets blown constantly for the most minor things. Sometimes no one could even work out what rule break had occurred! They seemed to be multiple and difficult to keep on top of. Jumping was the main one. Child jumps in a deep not crowded pool while supervised by parent. Whistle blows. Child and parent has no idea jumping in is forbidden so jumps again. Whistle blows and child barred from swimming pool for minimum two hours. And repeat every time a new family arrived. The losing team at volleyball etc was given the ‘punishment’ of dancing and doing a belly flop into the pool. Strange choice of jump considering the stringent safety concerns. Anyway as it was the only chance of jumping all the kids always wanted to lose. One child, maybe 8ish, at the beginning of the losing line belly flopped, got out and did it again. Whistle blows and he’s barred from the pool. ‘Punishment’ stopped for all other days we were there for the kids. Adults still allowed to do it. I’m all for health and safety. I want to take my children home from holiday fit and well. However this was madness. My children escaped a ban but were so wary about swimming and I was constantly on my guard. Who wants to spend thousands to sit around a pool your children can’t go in. If you have little children who just want to bob about quietly in the water I would recommend this hotel. If you have slightly older children who might want to jump in, fall off a lilo, splash etc etc etc then I would say this isn’t the hotel for you. Shame as in most other aspects it was a lovely place.

We've stayed in the hotel for a week and overall it was a good stay. The staff is very friendly and the food in the main restaurant is nice. Rooms are cleaned daily. Prepare yourself for sitting on a sunbed till 9am, otherwise your towels will be taken away. There is a lovely italian a la carte which has great food, but also has a gigantic problem with wasps. Entertainment department is going strong throughout the day and is quite diversified. We had a room facing the main event stage and if we didn't have kids, it would be unbearable, for the events are every day and finish around 23:00 and are very loud. Kids were happy about it though. The room was moderate - spacious enough, but definately needs a renovation in every aspect. The waterslides are nice and fun. There are queues to the main restaurant during rush hours and you are seated to the table by the waiter. We didn't have to wait very long, but still. To sum up: it was a good stay in - truth be told- a 4-star hotel which requires renovation and definately a bigger restaurant area.
